I have a feeling they will use Yagmoor to fill his shoes, not so much to be a goalsneak, but to provide important forward defensive pressure.

I agree with you there about Yagmoor.
I know its early but any idea with who is going to take up the role that Davis used to play in defence?
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Yeah there's some good wraps on him and with Leon in defense this year our forward pressure lacked a bit, Leon was number one inside 50 tackles in 2010.
Krak doesn't seem to have the same leg speed as Leon in the forward pocket role, more elusive on his feet then quick, with a good pre season under his belt I'd like to see him play a little more in the midfield.

We drafted two more ruckmen to go with the other 57 ruckmen we are developing. Never know, one of them might actually turn out to be good.

It would work even better if we could afford to retain Mumford.

Collingwood Season 2012

Postby test » Fri Mar 30, 2012 8:37 am

Can only select who's available, 7 first choice players missing, great chance to play some kids.
I'm much happier starting the year like this and building up to peak form then playing our best football with our best side early in the year like last season.
If the kids perform it makes the guys coming bak from injury have to earn their spot, if they struggle well we know where they rank in the pecking order.
Can't wait for it to kick off tonight!

Your full back, CHF, and bench are a tad iffy IMHO, but the rest are bloody quality!!!

Wood and Beams missing out says a lot.

Youngsters completely exposed tonight. Carried way too many passengers against a very good side. Even Marty Clarke needs a few more games under his belt.

Hopefully the likes of Maxwell, Tarrant, Beams etc aren't too far off.

that 3qtr from Pendlez was the most influential quarter from an individual i've ever seen. and was well back by Sidebum throughout the quarter too.

as mentioned, plenty of talent to come into the side.

if we played the whole game like we played the first 3 quarters and lost, it wouldn't bother me. but to roll over like that in the last 10-15mins was disapointing. specially after what we were doing to sides in last quarters/second halves last year.
