It's a real stand up organisation out at West Lakes. Why would you want to be there?

I'm not trying to bash Collingwood but I wonder what the outcome would be if Rendell was working for them.
In thinking about this for a while now and not knowing the full context, I think he's been hung out to dry and probably betrayed from a private conversation, seems very odd to me the whole thing. I can sort of understand why Adelaide has parted ways but can't help to think that a heavy hand may have come to lay on a shoulder via Melbourne.
If the AFL are so big on integrity why isn't Andrew Demitriou's integrity in question after going behind the SANFL's back concerning the Adelaide Oval AND for manipulating the AFL fixture for "larger" crowds and a bonus for himself. Integrity????
As mentioned before, double standards, but this is now becoming the norm in this "comp".
What was it for the Americas Cup? England rules the waves and America waves the rules. I think it could well be adapted.

And a club of Essendon's stature have been outstanding in Modern times. If you want to argue people's brain fades in terms of racism should we bring up Michael Symonds?

And before this becomes a slinging match I'm not claiming the Dons to be a shit club. I'm just saying a club of Adelaide's stature is very professional and 1 comment doesn't reflect all views......

Just referring to the way they've stood behind each other this week, nothing more or less.

Seems a good, supporting environment.

Let's just have a little look at the Trigg reign:

- Goodwin gambling
- Bock Assault
- Johncock driving discretions
- Thompson driving discretions
- Armstrong drink driving
- Vince varied discretions
- Several player defections to Gold Coast, GWS and other clubs
- Poor on field form
- Coach resignation
- Recruiter racism

That's just off the top of my head (I could be wrong on a couple). Not saying he's responsible for all of the above, but surely Trigg's time has come?

We've got the fresh approach we needed on the field, I think it's time we had the same off it.

This is quite good:

It's got to the point where he is a completely reactive rather than proactive leader IMO.

They would not IMO .... But educated and councilled.

Just being hyperphetical here .

Stupid comment. What would you have Essendon do that was different? I doubt that Demitriou would've given Adelaide any room to move.

Just a single comment in support of the bloke would have done.

"we understand the reality at hand but let's be clear. Matt Randall is not racist and his comments weren't intended to be taken the way they have been. "

Cmon we all know its not as simple as that. If an employee made a remark that society deemed racist he would be councilled. If a Snr member of the organisation made the same comment they will get the sack because his views from society are deemed the view of the whole organisation.

Give Trigg a break here, Adelaide has no where to hide for an AFL footballer and all those issues above happen all the time to clubs outside SA and WA but because Adelaide and Perth media only have 2 sides each they get FAR more attention.

I can tell you of a current VC of a top 4 club who urinated on a female because she wouldn't hook up with him (that I saw with my own 2 eyes).....did this make news....no.

All clubs have these issues. To tee off @ Adelaide is pathetic.

If you think Bernie Vince really got in trouble for that issue and paid for those tickets well im sorry to say it but you are a fool. That was used to get bums on seats (i mean cmon what sort of a punishment is a suspended match ban)

If it was Collingwood it wouldn't matter and the AFL would react the same way...... Would this story have been announced on The Footy Show is another question......

I used Collingwood as an example but basically as they are the strongest and most powerful club off field in the AFL and in Victoria. They seem to stand up to Demitriou and the AFL a bit more and with Maguire having more platforms than an ocean liner to push his own agendas I wondered how else this might've played out.

If this outcome is the result of a private conversation becoming public, has it been established how it became public?

Looking back at this post, you reaffirm my point.

If Vince isn't paying for the tickets then why would the club not come out and say "this is crap, we're standing by our man"? Instead, they've hung him out to dry publicly and supported him privately? What a shit place.

I ask the question again... Who'd want to be there?
