Have a good draw dutchy. What odds the top 8?

$2.30 Im trying to take the heart out of the decision before I pull the trigger.

FWIW I thought the Roos handled it very poorly yesterday.

You think the $2.30 is too short? I do. I'd go anything over $3 to be honest Dutchy.

overall i was pretty happy with the effort first up in the nab cup
hawks showed us we are still long way off but thats mainly to do with the skill level
i know the hawks put alot more time into the kicking part of their training and you can tell
some good signs but our body strenght is still far below and i woul;d support that the kids will get stronger
liked the way the forward line set up went but our heel is still defense
why we have not targeted a big defender, aka bock..has got me mystified because we really lack that big brutish defender who can handle the power forwards
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one

Mate can McIntosh and Goldsten fit in the same team? I would suspect that McIntosh would spend a majority of time up forward with Petrie. Throw in Edwards as another option and its a fairly useful setup.

i think you will find maccas a better option in the middle with goldy up forward
personally would play goldy or macca at chf and keep drewie at ff
gives you that bigger domination at chf and through the middle but not to big to deep

During the last two years the Roos have had first Petrie out then McIntosh. Go back to the 2009 season and they sucked hard whenever they went in top heavy. Could be a mistake to play all three.

you are right about then
but since then goldy has learnt to play and is one of the most improved in the league
makka in the middle is a no brainer but goldy has much more flexibility in his movements
drewie doesnt play as a one deminsional ff so at any stage can play at either end
he has great endurance and personall back then our problem was when the ball hit the ground the quality of crumbing small forward was not crash hot
if you get the right kick into that forward 50 your chances increase ten fold

If Lindsay Thomas has the breakout year his potential has promised, then there should be no problem when the ball hits the deck

I listened to Eugene Arocca on 5AA last night. He gave the impression that the Roos gave World Vision a $250K ad space for free, but over time it seems like there will be some sort of payoff. Either from companies associated with World Vision, or the Australian Government.

My thinking is that the ad space might be able to be written off as a tax deductable donation or something. That way they'll get their money back, as well as getting exposure for the club through World Vision, and maybe some dollars from the companies who want to look like they care about social issues.

What is the tax status of the North Melbourne football club?

Think it would create brand association for both parties to increase their exposure

IIRC UNICEF are a major "sponsor" of Barcelona FC so it has been done before. I guess it remains to be seen if it will have the desired effect due to differing levels of exposure but it is trying something different.

Wait and see in years to come if the World Vision venture attracts other associated organisations which could prove lucrative.
Then watch the tossers from coll, ess, carl all of a sudden want a major piece of the pie - remember friday night footy.

Not sooking at all champ, just being realistic. We know where we stand, we'll never be one of the "big clubs", but we'll never be the laughing stock of the comp as we've earnt too much respect.(unlike the 2nd rate clubs in 2 team towns ;) )

Don't worry about overloaded, his opinion holds less value than Power season ticket around these parts.

We are likely to see the Fitzroy Lions win an AFL Flag before we get a sensible, non-trolling comment out of that twat.
