Leadership groups

Postby Booney » Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:58 am

I'll try and list all clubs leadership groups in here over the coming days.

I was prompted by seeing Sydney have now got a 9 man leadership group, I hope Dutchy notices. ;)

What do we think of leadership group sizes? Make up? ( Senior players / young stars etc )

Without knowing first hand what is involved these days at an AFL club it is hard to judge. I think it is horses for courses and one team may need 9 and another only 4, depending on the profile of the players.

I think it is dangerous to assume 3 is enough (C - VC - DVC) just because that is what we were used to.

That said, I am not a fan of co-captains. I think a team should have one captain. We don't have co-prime ministers and the army doesn't have co-Generals. I don't mind spreading out the next layer but not the top one.

When you posted on it last week

Anyway, please do list the names of players in the various leadership groups when you have them all. It'll make interesting reading.

I think leadership groups are unneccessary (for reasons I stated in the other thread). I'm firmly in the one ship, one captain camp!
