Celtics beat a Rose-less Bulls today in a close one, whenever we got close they would pull away. Disappointing really as we haven't beaten many good teams lately. Rondo dominated.

No rose and no Hamilton makes a big difference. No way rondo would of had the night out had rose played

I don't even count Rip as an out anymore because he rarely plays.

In good news though, an MRI has shown Rose has no structural damage to his back and they hope he will be back by the All Star game.

When I read he had to see a specialist I freaked out a little.

One of the more interesting subplots to this season has to be whats going on with Carlos Boozer's hair?

8 points down with 2 minutes remaining, up steps Lin.
Game winning 3 with 0.9 left on click.

Good sign that Rose out means the end of the bulls. Would love to see him use that as a prompt to look to score a little less and pass a little more. I think he could become a really deadly player at 20/10 a game.

Boozer's hair:

Rose could maybe a pass a bit more Graham but his passing has certainly improved this season, he's averaging 7.8 assists which is 7th in the league and doesn't turn the ball over as much as a few guys above him. If he can have a fit Rip Hamilton next to him then that will give him a nice shooter to pass to but that hasn't happened too much this season.

The Lin story is getting ridiculous now, a last second 3 to win the game today. Amazing really.

Just a quick thought about the whole Linsanity thing, im still can't fathom how this kid has slipped through the cracks. Obviously the Warriors didnt see anything in him, he was picked up by us as a 3rd string backup and has taken us 2 months to give him a game. What are these scouts getting paid millions for? He hasnt just improved overnight, surely there were signs at training or pre season camp

Certainly has. A whole assist higher than his career average. Just that when the guy slashes to the basket he gets attention, often leaves guys open for easier baskets than taking on 2 or 3 guys all the time. It's really just passing up 2 shots a game for a better look that I'm talking about, should make the team 1-2 points a game a better side. In this league that isn't much, but it might well mean the difference.

Apparently the Knicks were VERY close to giving him the flick a week or two ago.

When I say his passing has improved, I am not talking about pure stats. He is giving team mates better looks this year but sometimes the shot doesn't fall. We could see a different Rose in the Playoffs where he does pass instead of shoot a few more times a game, time will tell. He has improved his game and doesn't jack up quite as many, I just hope he is fit enough by then as another Bulls-Heat series will be great to see.

Yes they were.
Obviously scouts/coaches are not doing their jobs properly, to think this kid could have been cut and playing in some amateur league is unbelievable

Absolutely. To think a bloke who could put up a game winning shot like the one below could be in some D league while there are plenty of players running around on big contracts who are not as good as him is unbelievable.

If it want for Knicks injuries Lin would be gone. Pretty sure he was 4th in line at one stage
If he didn't have those two good games to start he would be gone
