Ex-Power player Fabian Francis jailed

FORMER AFL footballer Fabian Francis will serve at least 15 months' jail for the violent abuse of his ex wife.

The District Court this morning jailed Francis for four years, with a 15-month non-parole period, for the repeated bashing and victimisation of Debra Buckskin.

Francis was found guilty following a trial at which he denied abusing Ms Buckskin, a former police officer, for 10 years.

From what I heard he had a crack at knocking off an A-Graders missus but didn't get any further and was chased out of the club. You're not too far off the mark Jimmy,I played at Greenacres about 15yrs ago and one season we had two blokes allowed out on day release from Yatala to play for us,they were big lads and both decent blokes,if you could just forget that one was doing time for armed robbery and the other was in for grievous bodily harm
