Oh dear, you tell me all Roosters supporters are in denial but you want to quantify that now.
I thought most people knew who I followed.
If you're not willing to read every post and just make outlandish comments on your perceptions (as wrong as they are) then you just end up looking like a dill, as I said before champ.
How hard is it to say "well there's one North supporter on this thread who may be in denial".
Pretty simple really and a LOT different to saying all North supporters are in denial.
Sheesh, dumb, dumb, dumb.
Give up now champ, you're digging yourself in deeper now but thanks for admitting you're wrong.

Wedgie, Can you please not use these forums for personal insults and slanging matches otherwise you'll get reported to the administrator.

lol, I was waiting for that one, if you can back the insults up with facts as to why the person is so dumb then its fine, its just the "Youre a dickhead" posts with no backing evidence or reasoning I'd prefer not to have.

If someone makes ridculuously inaccurate and stupid statements with no facts to back them up its open slather.

But you're right I can't be trusted, I have a very low tolerance of ignorant people/statements, I should learn to ignore them but feel its my community service to let these people know how demented they look/are/sound. Its a personality flaw of mine and in this case does make me look a tad hypocritical, I hope the Site Admin takes that into account.

You might find that O'Hara approached North first - which is why there was no official complaint from the Eagles when they actually found out why he wanted to leave and that he approached North. Everyone assumes when a player leaves a club the new club must have poached him unlawfully. In most cases it is the player leaving who either shops himself around for a better financial deal or chooses a club and approaches them. Anyone who thinks it is all poaching is naive. Perhaps your club should concentrate on the legalities of the league rules as you currently have a player training with you that has not been cleared by his club and nor did the Eagles seek permission for him to train either - a clear breach of the rules but the club in question (who were not going to deny permission for him to train) has made no complaint - they are going to put it in the "memory vault" for the next time the Eagles cry "foul" over some issue.

Fair enough Drebin i prefer you writing your post that way . :D i had heard ohara had wanted to leave you have confirmed that for me .Perhaps you could pm me the name of the unamed player which I would keep to myself of course.
All this goes back to the Old Ric Flair saying its only cheating if you get caught
But as everyone should know all clubs do something along these lines each year FOOTBALL Im afraid is just one big business.

I think this is a good post ... I know my club isn't "Giving it a crack" but I'm hoing thats only because we can't afford to do so, which is our own problem, one that I hope is rectified one day and puts us in the same position as others of being able to pay lip service to the cap (or find ways around it etc.).

If there are clubs out there who can afford to pay over the cap, but aren't doing so in order to comply with the rules well then I think they are the only ones with a reason to gripe, but I can't say I believe there would be too many in this boat (if any at all) ...

Now that you blokes have settled down a bit I would like to get back to the original issue - salary cap. It seems that everyone else's club is guilty of breaches and one's own issqueaky clean. And as was pointed out by a previous post - the only club to be penalised was the doggies after being caught for a trivial offence. We don't know the results yet of the South dob in exercise. It will be interesting to see if the SANFL has the ability and the motivation to get to the bottom of the matter. I tend to think that where there is smoke there is fire. I wouldn't be surprised if most clubs are creatively finding ways around the cap. We have discussed how this can be done on other threads. It comes down to who has the best accountant and can hide the most over the cap payments. Bottom line - we need a better system - I think the interest generated by this thread and all the others on salary cap means that it is an issue that won't just go away.
We used to be good :-(

drebin - what shite you go on with. O'Hara was asked to defect to North when D. Hart was coach. Every year since North has tried to entice the big "O".
So what if a reserves player trains with another club - obviously he is not wanted at North - big deal - let the boy have a chance to succeed.

I think you should check your facts ferret - O'Hara rang our football Manager this year to intitate his move despite what may have happened 3 years ago under Hart.
P.S. Wait until you see what your club has to pay for the clearance of the ressies player you refer to! Who said it was North player too - your just assuming that!
