Football Park Car Parking This Sat Arvo?

Postby Sojourner » Thu Apr 12, 2007 8:40 pm

With the Showdown happening this Saturday Afternoon, what is the go with parking in West Lakes Mall? Are shoppers going to be charged to shop there on Sat?

Is it possible to go park your car in a good spot at the mall in the morning free of charge and leave it there until the game ends? 8)

Given you said in the other thread you'd always go to watch South Adelaide - wouldn't it be more convenient to park closer to Elizabeth Oval?

If I drive a car to AAMI I would park it near the Golf Course, it's free and don't have to fight for up to an hour to get out of the carpark.

I got dropped off to the Crows v Essendon Round 1 as my other half had to go to the Mall and they didn't even question her ... Got there about 11am for 12:40 kickoff!

Danielson, will give you a buzz tomorrow am and perhaps join ya in the walk over.

tomorrow I am missing my first ever showdown :(

Saturday arvo games are hard enough to find parks for at the best of times (hence why I dont work them, plus i obviously have other commitments! ) but having a showdown on a sat arvo is probably one of the most stupid AFL programming decisions of all time.

All parking under the cinema and directly behind david jones is usually reserved for mall/ cinema users, and its first in best dressed for the rest, so unless you're prepared to be at footy park at 1030am.... you would be better finding alternative arrangements.
