Certainly is, looking alright from all reports.

Ahhh another former Elizabeth player.
Can't remember the last time I saw him. He was a good bloke when I knew him.
Is Ari Rigney still kicking around somewhere?

So how many SANFL games did Bassani play?

You idiot! Not this crap again.
You know him champ, why dont you bloody ask him!

From everything that you say about him, you seem to know him the best so I would've thought that you'd know how many SANFL games he played?

Not sure about Ari Rigney.
Nathan seems a top bloke, fitting real well down there to date aswell.

ROUND 1 APRIL 14TH
ENCOUNTER BAY V SAINTS
MYPONGA/SELLICKS V LANGHORNE CK
STRATHALBYN V MT COMPASS
MCLAREN V WILLUNGA night match
YANKALILLA V VICTOR HARBOR

Encounter Bay to win by 40-50 points (Saints will struggle all year)
Langhorne Creek to win by 30-40 points (Langhorne Creek the better side but Mudlarks always tough at home)
Mt Compass to win by 1-10 points (Upset of the round - Mt Compass will be the big improvers this year I reckon)
Willunga to win by 40-50 points (Demons simply too good)
Victor Harbor by 30-40 points (New coach Saunders will have the Roos firing at Yank)

He played B grade last year for Port Districts, B grade in 2005 for Gepps Cross and B grade in 2004 for PHOS camden. He is however like the new coach in that they can talk themselves up but if you look at their track records you will see that both are very ordinary players with very poor playing careers and have a history of moving from one year to the next as their true ability is exposed.
The coach has no credibility either as a player(played B grade A4 Amateur footy for Athelstone) or as a coach and is simply a good salesman with a silver tongue who will be exposed as a charlatan once games commence.

I dont think Pete Zwar played B's PHOSC. I remember seeing his name on the pine in the C's, nice fella tho

I can only imagine from reading this thread that some posters are currently either AFL list players with glistening careers or former greats of the game who's on-feild performances allow body to their comments.
Be honest footy nut, are you really Wayne Carey? Cause Yeva is a div 4 salisbury FC B'grader.

Zwar is a nice bloke, always smiling and having a laugh. He went to EBFC with out any raps nor for any real coin but Im with all of you, lets bag the shit out of him so we sound like experts, then in 15minutes we can all knock off and head home and feel good about ourselves.

Anyway - returning to real GSFL talk, Limby that's interesting mate. Tell me more, what are compass putting on offer for us this year players wise? They grabbed a rover from glenelg who apparently is red hot but many more? Strath I thought recruited 'nicely'

Hasn't a few boys recieved an absolute bath compliments of YEVA and Footynut.
All are entitled to there own opinion however Im more than a little sure that when playing for Athelstone reserves Bassani played seven maybe 8 games total due to a bulged disc and cyatic nerve problems???
You boys... should be very careful with your words when baggin others as it almost comes across as a hint of jealousy.
Are there really even two of you??? Or simply some whimpy knobhead having a conversation with himself, funny how you were both posting in tandem....
Who do you play for/support footy nut or YEVA (which ever you wish to reply to)?
In fairness to Lindsay he played div 2 res at Athelstone not div 4

From what I hear FM Compass will be around the 5 again but I would think Strath will beat them 1st round and set up a interesting clash in rnd 2 in the local derby with Langhorne Creek

Yeah Strath have recruited well from all reports but I think Mt Compass have probably slipped under the radar a little bit. I've heard that Burdett fella from Glenelg will be one of the better players running around in the GSFL this year. Word from Mt Compass is that there will be 3 or 4 blokes that would have been automatic selections in the A Grade over the last 4-5 years finding themselves in the 2's.

At the end of the day I wouldn't be surprised if Strath came out and flogged the pants off Compass but I think they'll be a lot stronger than last year.

Has anyone heard what the late mail on Ben Thompson is?? Will he be pulling on the boots for Willunga this week?? Speaking of Willunga, Mitch Portlock will be making his League debut for South Adelaide tomorrow.

Limb I recall several people asking about Thompson on this thread alone but no replies at all.
Personally I reckon Thompson will play, Willunga/Thompson are choosing to play shits n giggles with him by hiding the fact if he's playing or not. If that is the case I'd be careful that doesnt back fire on them/him.
Surely a great player from his record though and Willies could make history in the league with 4 in a row this year, Thompson has a match winning opinion of himself so surely he'd be thinking no Thompson = no willunga so he will be keen to play and save his club...

Can someone now please shut me up and tell us if he is In or Out for 2007??????

FM, I don't think he will play, or if he does he won't play till late in the year. Him and his wife have supposedly just had a baby and he now has other priorities. But I could be wrong... I don't think anyone in Willunga has internet, that's why no one has responded with an answer!!! They are a bit behind the times you know...
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!
