Kobe has had a great start to the season despite being injured. Pity he hasn't got the supporting cast around him

Gotta love Kobe homers.

He has been ok this season but he still puts up far too many stupid shots, turns the ball over recklessly and doesn't get his team mates involved enough. He seems to think he has to win every game single handedly at times.

Like brod said, get Bynum involved more and the Lakers will be a better team. He has had a fantastic start to the season.

Kobe always seems to have some kind of 'injury' as well.

BRODS Breakdown

- Eric Gordon (the major player New Orleans got in the Chris Paul trade) will miss three weeks with an ankle injury
- Twolves forward Michale Beasley is out for three games with a foot injury

- Kobe shoots 13/28 (39pts) in Lakers win over Golden State. (My question...why does Andrew Bynum get only 9 shots..and he got 6 offensive boards, so there is most of them)
- The Pacers have six in doulble figures and go into Boston and win by 13, as the Celtics shoot less than 40%, Paul Pierce 3/17FG
- Minnesota lose at home again this time to Cleveland in the clash of the two best performing rookies...Irving 30 min 5/15FG 14pts, 5 reb, 5 ast, 7 TO against Rubio 26 min 4/8 FG 10pts, 2 reb, 5 ast, 3 steals, 3 TO
KLOVE watch - 8/19FG 29pts, 3/7 3ptFG, 14 reb
- Bulls get 18 off the bench from Kyle Korver, while Rose is two boards short of a triple double as the Bulls beat the Howard, sorry Magic...way to stand up Ryan Anderson (2/10FG 1/73pt FG)

- Andrew Bogut will return to the US and be ready to play Tuesday against the Spurs
- OKC guard Eric Maynor will miss the seaosn with a knee injury

- The Wizards are still winless, as Minnesota won their first away game of the season 93-72 despite 13pts, 14 ast and 6 reb from rookie sensation Ricky Rubio
KLOVE watch - 20pts, 16 reb, 3 ast, 3 steals

- The Magic won a game and finally dont have to thank Dwight Howard after the centre was limited to 20 minutes due to foul trouble that saw him grab his first board four minutes into the last quarter. Richardson scored 22 and Big Baby 20 off the bench to see of the Kings 104-97 in Sacramento. Howard wasnt the only big name in foul traouble with Demarcus Cousins only playing 22 minutes but scored 16 points and had 10 boards
- Durant was dominiant in OKC's win against the Spurs who have lost all three road games this year (they have won all six home games) and he took only 9FGA, making five of them. He was 10/10 from line line for 21pts to go with 10 rebounds and 7 assists

I am/was a Shaq fan and it was always quite humorous to me that in his 8 years with the Lakers the Lakers had a better W/L record without Kobe than with him. He's always been a vastly overrated and over-hyped player and is to this day still the same spoilt brat chucker he always was, permanently injured as a ready-made excuse for his failings much like our own Lleyton Hewitt.

I'll never forget what he did to Phil, Shaq, Malone & Payton in '04 chucking them out of that finals series against Detroit, intentionally IMO.
