by the sounds of things Districts have recruited well, the following names have been signed plus a few others.
Gunning is a big loss though if infact he isnt playing

Jeremy Johnocock
Cameron Miller
Shane Catteral
Aaron Christman
Dylan Lockwood

Also Darren Perry, Simon Maddern and Todd Smitham returning from the country.

Madden and Smitham struggled to get a kick in the RFL this season. Can't see them getting a start in 1's.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No

Handy few ins. Geez. a2m might be on the money

Jeremy Johnocock - probably kick 100 goals without too much fuss as too big and good for any defender in D2. Not a lot of fun looking after this big unit. Good luck
Cameron Miller
Shane Catteral
Aaron Christman
Dylan Lockwood
Darren Perry
Simon Madern
Todd Smitheram

Fair enough mate....Perry is a quality player though. One of the best half backs around.

Just an opinion of course but some would say that means that both teams would need to improve by 15- 20 goals based on 2011.

although Districts beat Rostrevor and lost to St Peters by 3 points in the last 3 weeks of the year. I think 15-20 goals is an over exaggeration maybe just more consistency

Maddern a terrific pick up as well for Districts. Excellent centre half back and with him and Perry across half back, along with Higgs at full back, make an imposing defence. Up forward with Johncock and Deke Smith, you have two 100 goal forwards. With Johncock you have an absolute superstar forward, just out of league football. Toddy Smitham, a gun to get back from the bush and much under rated. One of the best players beneath his knees in Amaterur football. Highly skilled player and uses his body exceptionally well, to keep defenders away from the ball. You would like to be Rod Smitheram at the moment with this line up, especially with what still might arrive from the Magpies. Would be very, very short in the betting markets.

Handy forward line.... but think there maybe one or two to rival it in this division next year (one of these has a very versatile and experienced defense as well - with 3-4 mobile big men who will match up well on these lads).... Got to win the ball in the middle as well to bring the forwards into the game.... Should be a cracking year in Div 2 by all accounts

Mads and Toddie are great pick ups for anyone, Toddie has some of the best skills i've seen and Mads is a natural leader would love them in my team.

Are you serious? Maybe in the past, but they are well past it now. As I said, they were shown up big time in the Riverland Football League and the top end Div 2 teams are better than the RFL.

Wont happen. Portland have picked nobody up for next season and will struggle in the bottom few, while Port District keep recruiting a Premiership team, with some fantastic players on board. Who ever beats Port District will win the flag, with the great side they are putting together. Them and PAOC and Gullies and the quiet achievers in University are all recruiting really well and will make up the top 4.

Already signed at Virginia i believe, doubt portland would be able to pay what Virginia has offered him.

Looks like an ex-wafl player - vice captain of his club and a very good ruckman has signed with TTGully instead of Gepps Cross & a few other Div 1 clubs that were chasing him. Was on big dollars in WA but it seems he will be worth every dollar if reports that he would play SANFL if he wanted to. Very good get for TTGully

Toddy Smitham training the house down at Largs at the moment, along with "Tits"' Peucker also blitzing them at 37 years young and looking great. Peucker standing alongside Johncock, on the full forward line with Smitham up across half forward and Deke Smith there as well, gives "Rocket Rod" Smitheram, a number of 100 goal forwards. Hard to see anyone toppling the Magpies this year for the Premiership. Going to be a great year at Largs with all this talent. PAC, Uni and Gullies might challenge for 2nd place and the chance to go up with the boys from Largs.
