ESPN stated its a tentative agreement at this stage. As MH mentioned, christmas day start, looking at a 66 game season.

66 games? Won't making the season finish later then normally disrupt the following season. Im pretty sure more then 18 games has been cancelled.

i know one thing no matter how many games my nets are still gonna suck..... btw does anyone know if we are still the new jersey nets or are we now the brooklyn nets??

They will move there in the 2012/13 season once the new facilities are built.

So happy about the lockout news though!

Yeah wasn't sure if it was this season or next, guess have to thank camel lips for forking out all this money to build the facilities, even though we aren't exactly in a hole of arena now.

Well double edge sword in some aspects the extra media attention now as they move into the biggest media market in the states etc, so could provide extra pressure. At least its not like we are getting moved to wyoming or somewhere like that where we are 100000000 of miles away from where we use to be, newark to brooklyn is like moving from Woodville to Newton, so all the fans from jersey can still go and still feel apart of the club etc. It shouldn't be too much of a problem as both new york nfl teams play in new jersey.

I dont think camel lips would of spent all this money in buy half the franchise, built the new facilites, just to return a pro sports team to brooklyn without him wanting to make it as succsefull as he can and hopefull the presure of playing in new york will make the nets want to improve as much as they can compete with the knicks etc. so yeah there a positives and negatives to the case but all in all, I am not to upset buy the move and it some exciting/intresting times lay ahead.

Hopefully the NBA picks up where it left off after last years brilliant finals series. But i fear it might be similar to the shortened 99 season (players showing up out of shape, poor standard etc).

Would be great for a small market team to win it all. Durant reminds me a lot of Duncan – doesn’t seek the limelight just does his job. Was good to see him re-sign with the Thunder last year.
