Interesting u say that as he was playing Gaelic with a fair few Gaza boys fri nite. Did overhear them ask him where he was playing and he didn't know. They did ask him to go out to Gaza.
Was interesting to see a few punches thrown on fri nite between the Port District and Gaza boys during their Gaelic game, that Districts won.

they won the fight or the game?

Well from what I was told after the game it was a couple of 16yr olds having a fair crack at each other then it got very heated between the sides. Districts won the game a draw in the fight...

I wouldnt exactly say there was a fair few Gaza players playing. There certainly was a couple, one of which was making his debut and apparently they have a few more waiting in the wings to grace Gaelic Park but the Flinders side they play for is by no means Gaza based whereas the Port Districts side does feature the majority of players from the Port District football club including coach "Rocket" Rodney Smitheram. Just for the record Port 4.10-22 def Flinders 0.7-7 and nobody wins in an on field fight.

From that point of view is seems as though it will be a well deserved break for the curly haired wonder with further business pursuits and opportunities over there. I wish him all the best. Its a shame he will not be able to join the Thunder Dome in 2012. Please dont ask what will happen with the budget etc as im not privvy to that info at this stage.

When did this all come about, this UK thing? i've heard all this before.
I bet he's at the Thunder in 2012.

still believe he will be in UK next year nm. heard u 2 are close but am sure he wont be at Portland or in aust.

I didn't exagerate that much I didn't say the whole of Gaza played just a fair few and how much is a fair few to you. Districts are looking pretty fit even at this time of year. Yeah Rocket Rod played looks abit slow these days but from juniors at Reynella he wasn't the fastest bloke going around.

Ive sent my resume into Michaelangelo Rucci so hoping to hear from him soon for a job at the advertiser.

A few Amateur teams incl Portland, Salis Nth & Seaton were chasing the services of Casey Thomas ex Gawler Central pretty hard well i know Seaton went all out once he knocked Portland out of contention yet non have prevailed in getting his signature, he just recently signed with Mannum, he would of been a prize recruit to any Amateur team.

So Mannum offered the most money then?

They did offer some good coin but he said he would sign with a club thats going forward in the right direction aswell.
The club i thought he'd end up playing withs president didn't come across to well with him as far as explaining where the club was heading & what they were targeting.

Word coming out of Bob Neil Oval is the bookworms have signed Andrew McIntyre who until recently has been playing at the Roosters. 23 yo and has 100 league games under his belt playing CHB. In 2010 was names in the SANFL team of the year in that position.

They're being a bit cagier this year than in the past but I hear they are about to sign 2 more straight out of league footy, 1 of which will blow everyone's socks off. Jack Lewis is back and so is Nick Kurzel and Clark Roberts-Thomson.

No doubt the old scholarships and swimming pool debates will start again

11, one played more reserves than league last year so I think we have 4 to play with after the ones who were valued dropped their pt after this year
