Several of the biggest stars in the NBA – including Kobe Bryant(notes), Amar’e Stoudemire(notes) and Kevin Durant(notes) – are finalizing a 10-day barnstorming tour across four continents, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

As the 3½-month NBA lockout drags on, threatening to soon eliminate the entire first month of the regular season, the league’s most prominent players are scouring the globe for chances to earn income, market their brands and play the game.

The tour is set to start in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Oct. 30, and pushes onto London’s O2 Arena (Nov. 1 and 3); Macau, China (Nov. 5); and Melbourne, Australia (Nov. 8 and 9), sources said.

LeBron James(notes), Dwyane Wade(notes), Carmelo Anthony(notes), Chris Paul(notes) and Blake Griffin(notes) are also strong possibilities to participate, sources said.

The bigger the names, the bigger the paychecks for the six games, sources said. The top players will make “north of $1 million,” plus expenses, for the tour.

While i am excited to see the stars, I would much rather them put all their attention on finishing the lockout and play proper basketball rather than a glorified all star game with no defence.

Saying that i will definately try and be there.

Agreed . But to see that calibre of players up close on the one court will be unbelievable. Having a shoot around all be it I don't really care. I'm there for sure

James, Anthony, Chris Paul have pulled out, Durant wavering and no Rose or Westbrook.

Hmm might be in jeopardy i reckon.

The six-game, four-continent World All-Star Classic exhibition tour featuring two squads of All-Star NBA players is on hold, with Sunday's scheduled game in San Juan, Puerto Rico, postponed indefinitely.

Looking shaky

Wednesday is THE DAY.

Will the players accept the 50-50 split or "face a severely diminished offer going forward"

Greedy bunch of c****. Don't the pricks get enough now? They worked so hard to be number one in America now they have to build up their cred again. It's a shame we won't be seeing all these tremendous athletes until next season. A real shame :(
