Will not happen. He has two years to run on his contract, would be on $350k+ and any trade would see the new club pay him stuff all, perhaps $250k and we would need to pay the rest. We wont do that....he'll play at the Bay on $350k a year instead.

Wouldn't it make sense to pay $200k over 2 years for a player you aren't going to play, instead of $700k.

Thats what Booney is saying TSG, but port will do the opposite. Especially if ebert signs at port, cornes will have no hope....

I'm using tapatalk. The winkies aren't very clear. Add the fact that sarcasm doesn't really work on forums.

On the trade, it's a no brainer. Off load Kane, I'd even throw in a draft pick. WINK

GWS exchange on-traded Rd 1 pick (20) to Fremantle for its 2011 end of Rd 1 compensation pick (which it got for Rhys Palmer).

My thinking is that if the crows can get this second pick in the Mini Draft then they may try and on-trade it to Carlton for Gibbs or another big name SA player from any Vic club? That could be why they are not worried about the go home factor from the young 17 year old from Vic. Unless of course they pic up Kennedy.

Not a trade, but dual-Premiership Cat Darren Milburn has joined Adelaide as an assistant coach.

IIRC Gillies is still contracted so you can keep him ifnothing comes up that suits you. Swap him for Jordan lisle? Depth for the key position players at both ends?

I agree probably won't happen, although apparently Ralph the 5AA rumour man believes its a chance and may also involve Seaby coming to Port.

Considering there was a chance we were going to delist Kane and pay his contract out, getting someone, even if an average ruckman, is better than nothing at all. Even if we have to pay 60% of his contract I consider it to be worth it.

David Noble just mentioned on TWR that Adelaide has now got that 2nd mini draft pick and Luke Brown from Norwood for picks 10 and the Phil Davis compo pick.

Mini draft pick will be used on Crouch

TWR is talking to a player manager from Stride Sports at the moment and he said the Crows deal was an excellent one for them as both boys would have been first round picks and Crouch would have been a top 5 pick.
