Hmmmm....my cricket gear, not used for about four years, is sitting in the in-laws' garage at the moment. Might come down for a hit, get picked for div 8 and then say, "no...I just wanted the net session". lol

Nearly popped in to see if you were there. Thought better of it, seeing as I'd have had to ask if anyone knew WHUFC.

By the way, I will get around to a story for the cricket website soon. If you haven't seen it yet, it's http://www.wickettowicket.com. au ;)

Should of popped in mate, most would have known who WHUFC is.

Was a very good turnout 25-27 blokes played and with a few blokes who couldnt make it we have a very long list of blokes playing. Probably have enough to have a C Grade but could be too risky at this stage especially with what happened last year.

The game ended up being 25 overs a side, mixed sides with opening bowlers bowling to the opening batsmen etc etc, everyone got a bowl and nearly everyone had a hit.

A few young lads have thrown their name up for A Grade selection this week with a couple of really good bowling performances against some of our better bats.

Also that Whalan lad turned in a fine Wicket Keeping performances and probably moves up from the 9th inline WK to now being the 8th in line. ;)

Serious question what would happen with player fees in turf comp.

eg, about 4-5 games were washed out last year in turf comps would players pay the same amount of fees or get a reduced price or refund.

Well Round 1 its a bit hard to tip, no form to go off, no idea of team lineups, its really just the toss of a coin.
Am confident your C grade can defeat the bye though

Wasn't that many was it? Didn't most of the games just become one day games because the 1st day was washed out?

That's a bit poo, some of our C graders had made other plans already seeing as though this was their last chance to get away.

I was going to tip Wasleys to be in the top four for the first time in about 4 years, I don't think I'll be picking them now though.

I'm hearing you, I was more interested in you picking our B's over yours, you guys tore Grade 4 a new one last season and we were quite lacklustre at times in Grade 3.
Looking forward to playing Rosies first up though, should be a good test for us, we've gained as good as we've lost IMO, that's if everyone is available.

Gardens will be spewing, would've had some confidence playing Units at home 1st up, Westies away doesn't quite seem as appealing.
Is anyone going to produce some in's and out's yet or are we all waiting til Friday or Saturday? I need some info to get some odds together.
So far I've heard that the Gardens aren't as decimated as earlier stated on here, Lynch and Hanson haven't definetely departed, Hillen has retired though.
Seccafien will play for Virginia after the break.
Apart from that, the rumour mill is pretty stagnant.
