Very excited about it but it is just a rumour at this stage, it would be awesome for Australian basketball if D Rose and co tour down here. All games in Melbourne is a little disappointing but I will definitely try to get over for at least one game.

ditto. will go if it happens. thought BA might try get a game up in Brisbane to try raise interest in the sport again, if they're trying to get the bullets back in action.

Javaris Crittenton (AKA the guy involved in the guns in the locker shamble with Gilbert)has been charged with murder

Seems this bloke did't learn, what a moron. Whilst apparently firing at a person he thought was someone who robbed him in april

In stead he hit 22-year-old Jullian Jones, a mother of four, who was walking with a group of people on the city's southwest side when a dark-colored SUV drove by and she was shot by someone inside the vehicle, police said.

DENVER (AP)—Nuggets restricted free agent Wilson Chandler(notes) will play in China this season and won’t be able to opt out of his deal and return to the NBA if there is a 2011-12 season.

Chandler’s agent, Chris Luchey, tells The Associated Press his client will play for Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association.

ESPN.com first reported the signing.

Earlier this month, the CBA said it will welcome free-agent NBA players, but will require them to play an entire season in China. The declaration came after Carmelo Anthony(notes) and others expressed interest in playing there if the NBA lockout drags on and results in the cancellation of all or part of next season.

In China, the 24-year-old Chandler will play for former NBA coach Jim Cleamons.

Smith signs deal to play in China

Denver Nuggets free-agent guard J.R. Smith(notes) has signed a one-year contract with Zhejiang of the China Basketball Association, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

Smith and Nuggets free-agent forward Wilson Chandler(notes) are now the two highest-paid players in the Chinese league. Neither player can return to play in the NBA until the end of the Chinese season.

Smith had been in advanced talks with another Chinese team – Shanxi – before that deal unraveled.

DENVER (AP)—Kenyon Martin(notes) becomes the third Denver Nuggets free agent to sign a contract to play basketball in China this season.

Martin’s agent, Andy Miller, confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the 33-year-old forward has agreed to a deal with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association.

By doing so, Martin won’t be able to return to play in the NBA if there is a 2011-12 season. Owners have locked out the players in a labor dispute and the league says players won’t be able to opt out of their deals to return to the NBA.

Denver starters Ty Lawson(notes) and Danilo Gallinari(notes) are playing in Europe, but can return if there indeed is a 2011-12 season, Martin will not until the Chinese season ends in March.

J.R. Smith(notes) and Wilson Chandler(notes) have also elected to play in China, which won’t allow NBA players to opt out of their one-year contracts should the lockout end.

It has now been said that Stern in an attempt to get the players to cave will put the ultimatum forward that either they cave and we resolve this, or he will have the whole season canceled. Some times I just hate American sport.
