Re: What Game Are You Playing Now?
On PS3 I'm currently playing Resistance 3, bought it on Saturday and I'm part way through it and I'm really enjoying it so far. I love the Resistance series, the story is crazy awsome, puts an interesting spin on things and leaves wanting to know more about the mystery of the Cirmera. I love the first one (Resistance: Fall of Man) and have trashed the hell out of it, the second (Resistance 2) was a bit of a let down because it was much shorter than the first, however the action, level and character design was a big step up from R:FOM. I'm looking forward to seeing what the 3rd one has to come.
With Resistance 3 came free demos of Killzone 3, Infamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse. I installed and played Killzone 3 and loved it. I'm a massive fan of the Killzone series, thrashed the first one to death to a point where the disc wasn't working, played the second and was a little disappointed with it, again length but the third one looks very good. I was put off buying the third because of the second but now it is definetly on my must-buy list.
On my laptop I'm playing the old classic and one of my most favourite games of all Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Great game, great soundtrack.

I only play PC games even though we have a Xbox and Wii.
Given up on Wow and been giving Defense Grid, a great tower defence game a hammering lately.

Re: What Game Are You Playing Now?
I recently completed inFamous 2 (Good) & was thoroughly impressed with another rarely heard of PS3 beauty.
I was eagerly anticipating the release of the inFamous 2 the moment I completed inFamous. inFamous was a game I thought never got enough attention (it got the hype) as this sandbox style game was an absolute gem in 2009 to sit right alongside Uncharted 2 & Batman Arkham Asylum as GOTY contenders. For a sandbox game (like GTA style) the scope of the game & enjoyability were extremely impressive, however it was the story of the game that really blew me away. A story in a sandbox game can get a little lost, but this delivered.
inFamous 2 for obvious reasons was something I've been looking forward to. The story isn't as compelling, but it was always going to be hard to top the 1st. The gameplay improved slightly from the 1st & the side missions were alot less repetitive helping add to the fun of free roam. Am currently on my second play through as Evil Cole. Both games are extremely cheap & recommend any gamer to play these gems.

Re: What Game Are You Playing Now?
My PC has come down with a bad case of nvlddmkm.sys which the more I search the more common it appears to be - basically a conflict with my NVidia card and Win 7 that has makes it crash to a blue screen of death every time I try anything visually intensive, despite working flawlessly for over a year. Have tried lots of things to no avail and don't really want to buy a new card. Suggestions on a postcard...
Anyway, no PC games for me
I got AFL on PS3 for father's day. Not all that impressed to be honest - I remember enjoying AFL 98 back in the day despite its many flaws it was enjoyable. This seems to have many of the same flaws (dire commentary, unusable camera, glitches galore, cheap feel) plus the very annoying tackling AI. I've had a little play with the wii version which makes the PS3 version look like a quality EA release

Sony made the original Infamous available as part of the PSN compensation package, so I snapped it up.
Really impressed with the gameplay, the versatility and attention to detail (apart from some minor glitches with graphics).
Pretty addictive, but plenty of patience and perseverance was required to complete the game!
Played as Good Cole, so plenty of scope to go back and be a real bastard.
Infamous 2 sounds good and will get it at some stage.
Recently grabbed Mass Effect 2 (nice and cheap), a scifi role playing/shooter with plenty to do and learn.
By the time I finish Mass Effect 3 might be out.
Also just started with Gran Turismo 5 (gone platinum, so pretty cheap) and have Motorstorm Apocalyse to try.

I'll let the creator know that someone still plays it, poor bastard never received a cent for it but he's a Sturt supporter so don't feel bad.

Now none, sometimes Spider Solitaire, Freecell, Hearts, Solitaire - and very occasionally Civilisation.
They are handy when you need a short break, but generally real life occupies enough of my time.

Won't be that much cheaper in store around January.
Just buy from OzGameShop if you have a PS3 for $65
