Finals Week 2- Carlton vs West Coast Live Scores

Which brings me to another point, why do the umpires put away the whistle in finals, particularly the GF? It irks the **** out of me. There is one set of rules, however the interpretation changes significantly on GF day. Has 'The Giesch' ever come out and explained this phenomenon?

Having said that, even though I was cheering for Carlton, I'm not upset that Walker wasn't awarded a free in the last minutes. Even though the way the game was umpired it probably should've constituted a free, I wonder what the decision might have been if it happened down the other end?

Umpiring was average at best

Win at Ethiad during the season and it's not a problem. Carlton haven't been able to beat the top four all year.

The umpiring wad bad. But it seemed like they put the whistle away a bit more for the last term.

Yep. Should've beaten teams but didn't. Etihad doesn't suit our game style, so I hope we play the better sides at the G next season.

Walker could have almost given away a free for hands in the back. He clearly had an open palm in the center of Glass's back so technically that could have been payed also. IMO the correct 'Play On' call was made.
