Bit harsh MW
They beat the percieved flag favourites in Perth afer being 6 goals down.
If players dont get excited over that then they are not human beings.

I could never be too harsh against Port Power

Well done Port Power (F*** it hurts to say that) I wonder what some of the Port Power "supporters" on Big Footy are saying about Choco and his players now........

No such thing as a footy supporter on bigfooty. Brilliant win, and MW, sorry that the players celebrated after the game. Wouldn't want any players being human. Cant show some personallity. Wouldn't want that now, would we?

Fremantle looked great in all purple, but I don't think
Port will ever come up with decent away strip.

Until we can wear our rightful colours, nothing will look good. Our alternative guernsey has to be either tear or silver. The one we have now is ok.

Yeah great comments there mate, they only come back after a significant deficit in the first half (full of young kids) to win away against a team considered to be top 4 certainties. No dont reckon theres any reason to be happy with that.

Spot on pafc1870.

The Freo Chokers r the Biggest basket case club the AFL have had.
They got wot they deserved and will continue to do so as long as they
continue to recruit hacks with no G + D like Tarrant.

So are you saying the roos are done next week too?

look at the record...its fair to say the Puffs have no idea how to beat us and Choco will be in a cold sweat all week!

Given your form yesterday, you have no idea how to win yourself!!

But anyway, excellent victory yesterday. The best win since the Grand Final and arguably the best H&A victory the Power have had. Freo rarely lose at Subi, let alone when they are 6 goals in front during the 3rd quarter. If players and the coach cant get excited over something like that then there is no point even playing or watching the sport.

Great win by the young boys, and I do mean young boys.

David Rodan showed great pressure around the ball,Brett Ebert took another step in his development to being one of the better small forwards around,Damon White stood up at CHF,Kane Cornes showed again he is more than just a shadow,Nathan Krakour showed some impressive form on debut,Lade and Brogan,in the end, showed clever tap work at balls ups is just as important as winning the ball around the ground,Logan,Pettigrew,Thurstans,Salopek showed some grit.Wilson was superb.

Give us a Tredrea and P.Burgoyne and the season has a lot of promise.

MW,you having a rough trot mate? Sorry,not my mate,forgot.

To be honest, I think Port play better without Tredrea...

chuck that theory out the window. with tredrea in the team he will more often than not be taken by the number 1 defender and gives more flexibilty to the likes of motlop, ebert and damon white.

they also share the load better without him. Not doubting he'll draw the key defender, but more often than not, they'll rely on him, bringing that best defender into the game...

Dare I say it - an old fashioned Port Adelaide win. They should celebrate however they see fit.

And fancy David Rodan playing well. It will be interesting to see when his next good game is.

not  necessarily, port did it really well in the 2004 GF with thurstans, now we have white, cockshell, willits ebert and motlop to work with. Our forward entry from what we have seen preseason and yesterday isnt so one dimentional anymore and i dont think it will change if tredrea is back in there. If it does that would be poor form on the coaches half but i think highly unlikely

And does anyone care... My wife doesn't care what they are called as long as they win, and for her sake I am happy if they win so long as it isn't against the Crows! [or in the SANFL I hope the PAFC doesn't win against Norwood, and for my wife Sturt.]

As I'm living in Victoria, I'll support any SA team - being away gives you perspective.

Tredrea - yes they do play better without him, but I think that is because when he is there they try to give every ball to him instead of him being just a part of the team, and the opposition are aware of this. If he is fit I think he'll be an asset at FF or in a pocket, so long as the coaching staff get the message across to themselves as well as the players that there is more than one "go to" player in a team..
