All current players are expected to attend. In addition, any prospective players, including juniors, are most welcome to attend and have a hit.

I see Northern Wolves have applied to enter a team into our 1 day comp, some pretty good names in there, I think there's scope to split the comp talentwise not geographically.

They have nominated for Grade 7 with Steve Larret, Tony Librandi obviously driving it all and the Hand brothers. Several of their players could quite easily slot into Grade 1 & 2 teams. I think the PDCA need to over haul the comp so that D Grade teams are not mixed with clubs that are only in Gr 7 & 8 for a bash.
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

A couple of questions. Why do they want to return to PDCA? where are they going to play? When they left what grade were they in? Grade 5 premiers if I remember correctly.

Oh that bunch of glory hunters again
Totally agree WHUFC, glory hunters sum it up. PDCA should tell them they can come back but need to play grade 3 minimum and lodge a $500 bond and if they leave again within 3 years they lose the bond.

Should be a very handy pick up and will definatly add experience, accuracy and consistancy to our bowling stocks.
Where is Danny from WHUFC? Name doesn't ring any bells.
Played at EPFC during the 'glory' years. Played when Brett Rowland was coach and then Johnny Durrant was always the opening bowler from the clubroom end when we had Kenny Mac steaming in from the top end.
very tanned medium/heavy build bowls medium pacers with a bit of swing and movement of the seam. Would be about 29-30 years old now.
has been playing on turf in the last few years captaining Para Hills CC B grade side.
Come to think of it very similar height and build as Al Hewitt, very similar bowler as well.

So after the Warren Hennesy hey days, those 2 left arm quicks wreaked havoc for EPCC for years. Remember Kenny Mac as he was the ace in the pack.

The coming year wil be interesting by the sounds of it, from what i hear there has been a few walk from Parafield Gardens and are they are struggling for A grade numbers. Also are there a few guys not playing at Rosies this year? Jimmy, Burden and Stamatovich. If so with the loss of Brahma you could pretty much put Westies name on the shield now.
What happens with clearances if your last club no longer exists? EG: Folded/Closed down etc Do you still need a clearance and how would you go about acquiring one?

rumour i heard today at the football was a few blokes were upset with the constant beep tests and cardio work, and a few of last years a graders have mentioned they will show their face once the net sessions start.

Any truth or just yobo hill rumour.
Thats funny as we have only done half a beep test. Cd Player stuffed up half way through and havent attempted one since. So constant beep tests is plain wrong. Last training session was a fielding session followed by a fun soccer game. Tomorrow will be our 3rd Indoor Net Session on top of our 2 outdoor net sessions. So not 100% sure what the problem is or if in fact there is one. Those who have been training have enjoyed it. Think off the top of my head we have seen just under 40 players since our first session. 20 odd of those have been at nearly every training session.
