Exactly, ive heard they are looking at Brogan aswell. These guys were not good enough to get a game with the equal worst side in the comp, destined for failure

I think they want Brogan to be an assistant coach.

All but confirmed on Sports Tonight...tonight. They said expect an announcement in the next few days.

I don't see the problem. The Power had conceded he wouldn't be in their thoughts, so he retired, even though he publicly stated that he was fit, keen to play, etc.

Now here's a club that is not only going to give him the opportunity to play regular footy, but they're going to pay him well to do it (I would assume).

If he was still in the Power's thoughts, then that's a different story... He's no mercenary, he's a footballer.

No, apparantly they want Brogan on a 2 year deal. They want him to play 1st year and coach the 2nd year

not sure this a smart move on both counts!
brogan will back up Giles in the ruck i guess, GWS will have a real port influence now. Who are the other port players linked to GWS (heard the end of it on the radio)?

Will bump this next year.

Probably not a stupid idea to take a couple of blokes at the end of their careers, gives the kids an extra year grace while they develop.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

You can bump it if you like. I cant see myself having to eat my words though.

And I agree, GWS will learn from the GC's errors. ( Of which I dont think they made many )

good on them hope they are successful. Port are aiming to be bottom for a long time. its ok to have a youth policy but you need to develop the youth with a few experienced players otherwise you are going nowhere fast. perhaps with the new norwood influence their will be some sensibility :D

Christ Boon you would be in much better shape in the ruck now if you had Giles. Seriously he would have been handy to have with Lobbe coming along. I agree he is not outstanding but in my opinion hes not the worst ruckman I have seen.
