To round 24, the final round - with most of us playing for pride only!
Friday night is the big clash, Collingwood v Geelong. MCG. Personally I can't see Collingwood dropping this one but I'm hoping for Geelong to actually start playing finals type footy again after about 5 weeks off the boil/playing witches hats.
Saturday arvo Gold Coast take on Hawthorn at Metricon, then the Bulldogs try and win some pride against the Dockers, if they've got any players to field a side. Anyone with a gold season ticket, bring your boots to Etihad, you might get a run on the ball for the Dockers.
Saturday Twilight, Sydney are up against a Power-less Brisbane. The sooner the season ends for Brizzy the better!
Saturday night, Carlton play St Kilda. I'm going the Saints in this one. I think Jamo will be underdone if he comes back and the Blues have trouble with their big forwards. Coming off the break will not help the Blues, but playing at the G will. Saints in a close one.
West Coast will be looking to ease into the finals against Adelaide (on Saturday at 5.10 local time), knowing 4th place is sewn up. Great effort by the Coasters, no one thought they would make the 8 let alone top 4. Even in their premiership years I think they might've struggled to win 16 games. Sensational. If they didn't knock Carlton out of the top 4 I might even be happier for them.
Sunday, Round 24, officially to be known as "junk day". Port take on Melbourne at "The Saviour" Oval. If they get 20k I'd be stoked given the nature of this game. Port will more than likely win this one, given the junk nature of their year.
And in the block-buzzta, Richmond looking to salvage top spot of the bottom 8 play North (at Etihad) who have disappointed me in the past (cos I've tipped them!). Richmond for mine. Just for humour's sake.
Essendon have the bye, hopefully resting peacefully (into an induced coma) for next weeks clash against the Blues.
Best of luck everyone. Thanks for your patience without the constant updates.
Rest assured I'll be back to offer this competition up again if people are interested.
Cheers
