Did I hear right ? Chad Cornes is NOT continuing with Glenelg ?
Hate to say it but Chad was a real champ with Port Paupers and as usual Port treat their past champions like shit..... club tradition.

I find it interesting how much he stated he loved his time at Glenelg but then doesn't commit .

I hope he decides to play , I think it shows character and respect to return to your SANFL side if you are fit enough. It's good for the comp and Glenelg to have profile players returning IMO.

I'm with bayman, I think he could but I also think he might not, he might but he probably wont, it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't and I think that he might if it isn't as surprising as what I think he might or might not do.

He's going to make a comeback for the next North game ... the whole family will be there.

Not a chance. My understanding is that he and Massie have a very strained relationship at the best of times.

Massie and Cornes could discuss choosing not to play SANFL together I would have thought.

Alternatively Mass could say to Cornes "come back and play in a completely half assed fashion and get paid big bucks, it worked for me"
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'

Postby krustymirkin » Mon Sep 05, 2011 9:27 pm

I, as a glenelg supporter find it hard to understand the reasoning of Chad Cornes, dont get me wrong i admired the way he played the game, but why on earth wouldn't you try and help glenelg win a flag.Word getting around that Chad will except a 1 year contract with GWS makes it even more frustrating, whats he thinking?

Why single just one bloke out for playing AFL ahead of SANFL? Let's not forget how selfish Gibbs, Mackie, Ottens and several other blokes are for putting their careers ahead of Glenelg's ambitions.
