Mills isn't on the verge of being cut by Portland they just gave him a qualifying offer for $1.2 million next season just days before the lockout started.

Doesn't help him if there isn't a next season. Was always going to stay on Portland's roster for the next season if it wasn't interrupted, but one bad year (or no year) and he could be washed up.

Regardless of the fact he didn't sign and the club had there accounts frozen, The NBA and owners would not be happy at the thought of this. If big time players can go and earn else where during the Lockout then the Lockout itself becomes less significant, it is the main hold the owners have over the players, but now the players are finding other means.

- Ron Artest (Cheshire - Great Britain)
- Nicolas Batum (Nancy - France)
- Jordan Framar (Maccabi Tel Aviv - Israel)
- Deron Williams (Besiktas - Turkey)

It is his legal name though, his Jersey will have it, I dare say Metta wouldn't have done it for people not to call him by it lol.
On other news DURANT"S agent has said they are very close to signing a deal in Turkey with the same team that signed D WILL. Maybe dropping 45 a night on average in Pro-Am street tournies is getting boring for him lol

I don't think Artest actually went through with the name change did he?

A few other signings: Nenad Krstic to a team in Russia, Sasha Vujacic to a team in Turkey, Timofey Mozgov to a team in Russia, Earl Clark to a team in China, Chris Quinn to a team in Russia, Sonny Weems to a team in Lithuania.

Rudy Fernandez is supposedly negotiating a six year deal with a team in his native Spain too.

latest from the Players union rep is not to expect a season at all. He is relaying this message to the players to and David Stern without confirming that has all but conceded a season looks very unlikely at this stage, typical american rubbish, what a great season we had followed by the biggest disappointment they could dish up.

Not NBA but an exhibition game between the Duke Bluedevils and China will be live on ESPN Thursday night at 9:30pm.

In NBA player movements the Nuggets Ty Lawson has signed with a team in Lithuania but has an opt out clause to return to the NBA if the lockout ends and the Spurs Danny Green has signed with a team in Slovenia.

FIBA has only cleared "higher level" players I.E D-Will and if any others along those lines pop up as in Kobe Wade Durant Amaré to go to another league with the guarantee they return once the NBA starts, so they cant sign season long contracts. It seems for rookie and bench warmers only one agent going around has managed to secure opt outs for his players going overseas. Most teams want them for a year or not at all
