not much to defend, we support a club thats going pretty well, we cant help how the draw is, and why waste energy researching facts and figures on it all? I'll just keep watching, enjoying my team playing well, enjoying my club in a great position, and like I mentioned earlier am more then happy to distribute tissues for those of you that cant handle it

As if a Pies fan would have any tissues left.

I dont have a problem with them playing in Melbourne so much, but make all the Melbourne sides play interstate the same amount.
Also, Collingwood got given the byes at the perfect times during the season...and didnt leave Victoria for the first 7 rounds and the last 7 rounds! That is the main issue for me.

How is having 2 byes in the first half of the year 'perfect'. Surely it must be an advantage to have had a week off within a month or two of finals?

i'd also call count playing in Perth in the second last game of the season as "leaving victoria" within the last 7 rounds.

not to mention playing up at the Gold Coast in tound 18 and Adelaide in round 20. making the last 7 rounds with collingwood travelling 3 times.

on the other hand, Carlton only travel once after their venture over here to Adelaide in round 11, and Essendon travel just once in the last 7 rounds.

If you follow what REB is suggesting of Collingwood supporters and then think of the love expended on Geelong by its supporters over the past four years for their superlative performances, it might be more clear.

Loved Brayshaw's spray at Eddie and Kennett. 'What do they want, Hawthorn and Collingwood to play each other each week'. Went on to say they wouldn't mind equalisation of the marque games like Friday nights, getting set up with multiple block busters etc etc, but that would never happen.

Collingwood get everything in their favour that set's them (and the AFL) up financially, but then whinges because the AFL subsidise the clubs who don't get all the above benefits....
