My thoughts as well. I was staggered when I heard him say they had more competitive ball and inside 50s than the Saints in the 1st half. I think Craigy was looking at the wrong stats sheet.

According to 5AA they said the Crows had 4 more inside 50's than the Saints as well.

I think Sam Jacobs game was the only positive for the Crows- one good pick up.

Too right. Pity that the first time we've had a decent ruckman in 5 years coincides with the worst midfield in the history of the club. :(

Mate I dont think anything has been deleted.

Apparently there may be something happening in crow town this week. Probably just another Craig press conference where he talks about KPI's, states, powerful sides and how exciting the group of players is.

Very true. At least that was our last game in Victoria for year (no more drives to melbourne for me thankfully).

Just to pose a question, will there be 30-35000 at AAMI this weekend for the showdown?
I personally think they will crack 30k but could be struggling to get a decent crowd there.

Will be a very nervous crowd that is there. Can we win? Will we win? I bet we'll lose? And that is from both camps.

I'd expect a little over 30,000. In all honesty though with both sides desperate and for once in the last 3 months thinking they are capable of winning there should be 40,000. Wont be though.

Not sure if this has been bought up before, but what is it with so many Crows having one outstanding season and then slipping back?:
Vince
Knights
McKay (although injury hasn't helped this year)
Bock
Porplyzia
Tippett

In Bock, McKay and Porplyzia's case it was most likely injury.

Vince and Knights I don't think coped with varied tactics, the latter also struggled with injury (enough to get consistent form and fitness) .. Both would also have found life much tougher without better players around them.

Tippett will be fine.

Tippett would be much better if he wasn't the sole target in a one dimensional forward line. Give him a decent midfield and some friends in the pockets to take some heat off of him, and he would come good IMO.

That said, he does have a problem coping with pressure (ie important set shots) that he needs to sort out.

McKay just needs to stay injury free. Vince is a worry, but I reckon he is one player who would respond to a different coach. Knights is a big concern.

dont usually think a coach should go during a season but surely after such a woeful performance there needs to be an announcement today whether craigy resigns or is sacked something needs to happen. The players have spoken with their actions on friday night.

How woeful is SA sport the last 12 months. Both footy teams suck the big one (well at least the power have a plan maybe not a cunning plan but at least they have one). 36ers had a woeful season, Adelaide United not much better, Redbacks were shocking except for 20/20 due to imports and now they arent on the competition anymore.

I need to find some happy pills quickly. :( :( :(

For sure Porplyzia has had his injury troubles, but even before they were bad he was still not up to the heights he was at one stage IMO.

Fair call, but even that lesser form likely puts him ahead of 15+ teammates.

Not sure the Crows can rely on Porplyzia ever getting back to near his best on a consistent basis .. Hopefully not for his sake, but you almost feel like he's one injury away from pulling up stumps.

Redbacks win their first bit of silverware for 20 years. SANFL GF attracts its biggest crowd since 2000, SANFL crowds continue to increase . All 9 SANFL clubs make profit whilst AFL crowds in SA decline.

Great year for SA sport IMHO!!!!!!!!
