Round 18 vs St.Kilda Friday night

Postby sapaul » Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:00 pm

Johncock sitting on 199 games.

Still doubts as to whether he will play this Friday night?

We have a good (actually make that GREAT) record in milestone games.

Kinda like to see him rest this week and play his 200th in the Showdown. Just a selfish opinion as don't think we can win this week.

Discuss game folks. :)

Saints are a far different side to the one we beat earlier in the year!

I expect them to beat us esspecially if Jeansch and Stiffy dont play.... As said earlier, I would like Walker to come back in the FWD line and Moran goes out for someone who can actually give us something. Ruck Tippett when Sauce needs a break!

Johncock is a starter thank goodness. We are some chance of at least not embarrassing ourselves on the national stage again with him in the side.

My guess is Martin will come in for Jaensch, and Walker will get another game for Norwood (unfortunately for South!).

I like the the change also. Not making changes when a team is clearly lacking consistency is a good move imo. The only way to try and gain any is to keep plugging away with the same line up.
A massive game for us this week (and every week here on out). No chance of finals but a lot of guys are playing for their names to be on the list next year. Hopefully we see 4 quarters of that 1st half from last Friday night. I think the key to the game is Talia on Reiwoldt. He hasn't had a major impact this year to date and would be looking at this game as one he can break out of his form "slump".
Would love a win but a good 4 quarter effort I will take.

How bad was that first half. When will someone stand up and help Thompson? Embarressing, can it get any worse in the second half? Surely not.

All time low.

Make Scotty Thompson captain/coach/captain-coach whatever.

Can count the amount of players who are trying on one hand.

Gunston dominates at SANFL and looks like the biggest hack ever at AFL level. He's young though and playing in this side can't help, but geez.

Reilly, VB, Symes, Moran, Vince- get stuffed the lof of you.

Yeah but he's not even trying, in fact, it's like he's trying to hurt the team.

It was funny watching his interview at half time. He thought he'd done ok setting up a few plays across half back. He had 2 touches for the half
