I hate listening to Caro, but I do watch Footy Classified. As a Richmond supporter, I hear next to nothing about them in the Advertiser, on Simply Footy or radio during the week, gotta do it somewhere.

On the Couch is also a very good show, the lack of ego between the three of them is in stark contrast to Classified. Took a massive step forward when Walls left, we don't have an hour full of one guy stating obvious facts that the general football public already knows. Hird coming in gives it some more credibility, just being out of the game.

My point is, if you're able to remove the chips off your shoulders, isn't about Adelaide, it's about the format in general, the Victorian-centric attitude of the show, which I remind you is on national TV, (as compared to any media that is produced in SA). Enjoy your foxtel!

Unfortunately for folk such as you Cutter, as there is 10/16 Vic clubs, the shows will need to be at least geared at 10/16 to be 'non biased'

:)

I agree, with 10 sides of course there is going to be more Vic content.

Caroline Wilson wouldn't know. That's why she's a journalist.

one of my pet peevs in life in general is people butting in and talking over someone else. carro does both of these things ALL NIGHT! and whats even worse, she will start her sentence when garry or hutchy or anyone else is midway through a sentence, and she wont just say 3 or 4 words over the top of them, she'll complete her whole sentence! it's just the way i was bought up to not do this, and she does it on national television every single week.

i'm not the sorta person that would say i wouldnt watch a certain show because someone i dont like is on it, but if there has ever been a tv show of any genre i wouldnt watch because of who the host is, it Footy Classified and Carro.

Watched it last week, 1st time for a long time. It was horrible. Wilson is terrible.

One week at a time, however, is an excellent show. Informative, tight & entertaining.

Interesting that Hutchy kept right out of any questioning - he only goes after easy targets - JB was too tough for him

Agree with you there mate about all of the above. Especially about JB being a tough target. I dont mind JB, he took Hutchy apart last night on the footy show without doing anything.
I loved his line about "well i dont have the lotto numbers for this saturday, so are you saying I have lost that as well" - bloody funny.
Also its clear that JB and Gary a good mates, because whenever JB is attached by the flab face or hutchy, Gary will always give a bit back, and that tells us alot about him.

To be honest is a very vicious show. They are basically looking to destory whatever they can, simply because there after that next big breaking story.

Also watching Hutchy try to do a bit of a suck-up job on King on the last show was fricken shallow as. Hutchy should just accept the fact that King wants to have some words with him. So Hutchy might want to man up and realise if your going to try and burn people its not going to go down well.

I used to watch it but haven't watched it once all year.

Too much about the off-field stuff which I don't care about.

The other night Caroline Wilson referred to Western Bulldogs not going down a certain road "after the Jason Akermanis episode"

Can someone who probably knows more about the subject enlighten me on why it was a supposed disaster? Was it because of his article about possible gay players that was jumped all over by the PC and paranoia police? Wilson always maintains she does her research but Akermanis claims that she never rung him once over any of the stories she wrote about him.

I would have thought on field it worked out all right with the possible exception of his final season there.

By the way - believe it or not - I actually enjoy Grant Thomas on here but I do wonder whether the panel and himself were told to lighten up about their Blight references as it was coming across - whether intended or not - as something along the lines of "what would he know" which is ridiculous given his record of 10 full seasons as a coach for 5 grand finals and two premierships.
To Thomas' credit he did claim that he would have tried to talk the board out of sacking Blight back in 2001 if he'd been included in their meeting in his role as the football director but that raises the point of Butterss and co happy for him to coach but were completely willing to disregard his opinion on the Blight situation.
