fair comment to a degree...Rucci's has had a few articles like this recently, i get the distinct impression he's trying to incite a revolt from the members.

South Adelaide fans deserve the greatest admiration for their loyalty to their football club. They may be a small band, but they have stuck by their Panthers. They define dedication to a cause.

Wow.....loved this little piece :D
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Yeah but it's not as good as winning premierships.

Its kind of like he is saying the currrent situation the club is in is largely Port Adelaides own fault.

Where is that Port Adelaides re-unification exceed expectations thread ???

Nah dont think thats the case....in recent months Rucci has pushed the finger of blame towards the SANFL to a large degree for Port's demise. I think he has started a new "crusade" recently to spark the clubs members/supporters into action to take back the club.

I blame the failure to effectively manage generational change in the case of the former and the lack of balls in the decision to keep or cut ties with Choco for the latter.

The boards decision to extend choco's contract was the mistake.

No, the way they extended his contract was the mistake. They didn't want him to stay but he ****** them up by accepting the reduced terms. Back him or sack him. They did neither and I reckon Port has suffered because of it. They could have made a strong decision but they got too smart and a few years later the whole joint is on the nose.

Exactly REB, the board should have sacked him. Why offer williams the opportunity to stay on as head coach if he didnt have the full support of the board? The board is to blame IMO for not having the balls to sack him when they had the chance.

There is no doubt that Port have plenty of work to do, but I think they have the right man for the job in Primus. It will take them a few years, but in the end they will turn it around.
As for the coaching, agree with you guys they should have got rid of Williams when they had the chance and not extended his contract.
