Whats Worse - Sherman or Shaw?

Heard a good question on the radio today, which is the worse, what Justin Sherman said or what Heath Shaw did?

Sherman gets 4 weeks for racial slurs on a young black player and Shaw gets 14 weeks (6 suspended) and a $20,000 fine for a $10 bet.

Don't get me wrong, what Sherman did was terrible and needed to be stamped out. However, the entire fabric of the game is in question if you have guys 'selling' or parting with inside knowledge and then using that knowledge to bet on games.

They are equal IMO.

Corruption ruins sports and businesses all over the world, by not punishing accordingly you set a dangerous precedent.

Racial vilification is by no means acceptable in Sport or today's society.

The question should really revolve around the differing penalties handed down for a equally damaging incidents.

No its not. But it has been confirmed that indigenous dont like being referred to by this name as it demeans them. If you say that to one of them on the field i believe you would get a lengthy holiday.

My wife works in a goverment job agency in the northern suburbs and deals with the indigenous every day and one of the main questions on all the forms is "are you of aboriginal or torres straight island heritage?"
If the government cant get it right how do you expect your average joe to?
