Yes, don't get me wrong. He's no goodie-two-shoes, he's a very talented administrator who did well in the brewing industry and will continue to do so. I just feel, rightly or wrongly, that in the world of AFL football, you really need to be ruthless, to the point of being dishonest, and I don't think Hays is that style of person.

Which makes me wonder about the heavily rumoured incumbent, as I'm not sure he would fit that mould you've mentioned AH.

Very true. Would be interesting to see how he goes.

I think you will find "he" is waiting for Leigh to move on.

Obviously been trouble with a few people leaving, these times always reminds of the movie The Club with Jack Thompson,Graham Kennedy and John Howard.A saying i heard a few years ago was there is more politics in sport than there is in politics.

Great movie!!! :D

So is "On any given Sunday", and this movie plot also revolves around 'behind the scenes' politics and money, but in American football.

My boss didnt take up membership with Port because of him. The club has gone downhill since Cunningham left and he thought employing a Crows supporter as the CE was a bad idea. Have it on good authority he drove out the Williams' ;)

Thats the problem right there, the club cant handle a non Port person, shouldnt matter if you support Iraq if your a good CEO.

I always thought he spoke well and reckon Duncanson is the dud.

From what I could tell, there seemed to be overwhelming support for Haysman amongst Port supporters.

A look at TPFP and the Port Board on Big Footy shows this.
