R15 v Sydney

Talk on the national game

R15 v Sydney

Postby Gingernuts » Mon Jun 27, 2011 3:35 pm

Could be an interesting week at the selection table this week.

Will we see McKay back in the line up?
Will Talia give his first run?
Brodie Martin had a reasonable game for Sturt also.

Tambling and Jaensch will be back from their late withdrawals last week also. Could be a few changes made I reckon.

I feel like we're a chance at home under lights this Saturday night, reckon we might break our losing streak.

In: Jaensch, Tambling, Mackay, Smith
Out: Schmidt, Gunston, McKernan, Vince

Honestly, I'd be happy to see all of: Vince, Douglas, VB, Reilly and Doughty dropped. Giving us nothing.

Reilly, Doughty and Douglas are way in front of Vince in the "deserve to be dropped" stakes

Vince has played some good football but looks like he is only going through the motions. Doesn't warrant an omition! I think we need to give Talia a run, I watched the last qtr of the South game and he looks like he can play a bit. Reads the play well and MANS UP. Did Mackay do enough to warrant a recall? He got the ball in what I watched but, then checked his numbers and wasn't the best on the ground. Where the first three qtrs good?

If only this bloke was in the team from the start of the year:

Loving the way this bloke works, thinks and does. Hope he can play out the year injury free.

Regarding Vince, was his best game for the year on the weekend, still a fair bit of work to do but he's no orphan there. Definitely doesn't deserve to get dropped.

I hope he plays out the year, not only for the crows but to not have him at Centrals come finals time!

Moran  , Symes, Tahlia, MacKay, Tambling, Jaensch IN

Gunston, Mckernan, Knights (Omit), Henderson & Schmidt (Inj)

Some good INS, Symes, D-mac, Tambling and Jaensch hopefully will give us some extra run and carry and looking forward to seeing how Tahlia goes!

i was so happy when i saw the ins until i read B. Moran. seriously! HTF does this guy keep getting a game? Talia a great in IMO watched him for the 2nd time on saturday and he impressed me again. knights in good form would be a better option over symes but, not playing great football at the moment.

Really hope MacKay can play out the year injury free now. The kid has so much potential but is continually getting injured, so frustrating!

hopefully doesn't turn out to be another Trent Potential. adds a bit of speed to the team and hopefully some of it rubs off on a couple of other players.

Anyone else heading down tomorrow night? I will be, first live game of the year for me.
I like watching Sydney play, watched them roll us last year, so not concerned about the result.
For me, I'll enjoy getting a first hand look at the game live and assessing players like Talia, Petrenko etc.
Also love watching Goodes, ROK and Marty Mattner play. What did we get in the Marty Mattner trade?
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

I'll be there as always. I reckon we've got an outside chance, we seem to play better at night the last couple of seasons for some reason, I think maybe the young fellas feed off the better atmosphere at a night game.

I am looking forward to seeing what Talia can do also. Hopefully he grabs his chance by the scruff of the throat. :D

I'm heading in for my second game for the year. Hopefully its the same result as the first game against GCS. I got one of the 3 game memberships and my 3rd game will be against Richmond.

Hopefully Talia can have a good hit out and Tambling can get back into some form.
