2006 polled 12 votes next best is 6 votes in 2005.

And theres the point. Very hard for ruckman to score big. He has Kennedy, lecras, hurn, Kerr, priddis, embley who have all had best ons. Cox won't get 10 votes!

I wouldn't completely discount him. Recognising that some seasons have been high on stats for him, not sure that Embley, for one, will take too many. Ditto Kennedy (will get three for the ten goal haul, but are there many more?). Shannon Hurn not a noted votegetter either, and LeCras has missed a fair few.

Kerr might be the one that will surprise here, and we know he is a recognised votegetter in teams that are better than this lineup.

Ablett will have to poll well for GC, without a doubt, would already be on 8+ votes at least.

Suspect Judd has been even better this year, but also wonder if the umpires will do a subconscious "correction" this year and mark him more harshly this time around.

embley every chance of getting a couple best ons in the first 3 weeks for them. He will poll well when he has 32 touches and 4 goals off the wing against port

I rekon he wont get as many as people think regardless of his touches, remembering that the GCS got bealted on many ocassions so far I cant see him getting the votes in those games, maybe in their wins he will but there are not enough close losses to warrant votes IMO.

It is similar to Thompson for the crows, gets heaps of it but it easily beaten games wont poll.

Cant go past Judd for me, the votes stealing with Murphy wont matter he stands out when they win and they are winning.

I've done a phantom count using the best players from the AFL website and a scoring system that depends on the margin of the match.
It's a bit flawed because Ablett rarely polls, but other than that I reckon it could be reasonably accurate.

Here's the leaderboard after Rd 13:
16 Chris JUDD (Ca)
14 Marc MURPHY (Ca)
12 Sam MITCHELL (H)
11 Scott THOMPSON (A)
11 Lance FRANKLIN (H)
11 Trent COTCHIN (R)
11 Matt PRIDDIS (WC)
11 Dean COX (WC)
11 Matthew BOYD (WB)
10 Dane SWAN (Co)
10 Dale THOMAS (Co)
10 Joel SELWOOD (G)
10 Andrew SWALLOW (NM)

Wouldn't mind putting a bit of cash on Marc Murphy now!

i wouldnt mind putting money on swan.

altho i think judd will win it if he keeps this up and blues keep winnings
if pies continue to win big, surely he will get a few votes. (but then again so will 55 other pies players)

Not bad. Mitchell and Thompson usually poll pretty well too. Only 6 players have finished in the top 20 in each of the last 4 years and they are two of them.

Will be interesting to see the votes from the Carl v WC match. Could safely rule Judd out of any votes here. Murphy very good for Carlton. Priddis, Kerr and Cox all sound for WC.

Where does it say Scott Thompson 13??

In any case, why couldn't he poll that many?
Polled 15 and 11 in past two seasons and enjoying his most productive season to date.
It's not like anyone else from the Crows is going to take votes off him.
Should poll 3 in the match against Collingwood too, despite the Crows eventually going down by a big margin.
Was a star that day.

If Adelaide had 2 or 3 more wins than they do now then I'd say yes, but I don't think he can pull enough votes playing for a side losing by 30+ points each week. He'll be in the top 10, but won't get enough to win it IMO.

Didn't say he would win it, just that he would poll well.
Like you say though, the only thing stopping him from doing that is the Crows W/L record.
