Dangerfield

Talk on the national game

Dangerfield

Postby Sojourner » Tue Jun 21, 2011 7:46 pm

Listening to 5AA this afternoon I got the distinct impression that Dangerfield may not be in it for the long haul and its not a case of if, but when he will return to Victoria?

Seems to me if this is the case the AFC might be best served by making the decision to trade him at the end of this season while he is still held in a reasonable level of regard. Its a shame because he shows signs of being a really good player. Yet if there is any truth in it the Crows would be far better served to take action over it than get nothing later on.

Brings up the discussion no doubt if the club would be dealing with rumours like these if it were Gibbs that had been recruited?

I felt at the time that the manner in which he played the first year of his contract suggested that he would not be the one club superstar he was made out to be, time will soon tell no doubt!

Interview with him in the June edition of ALPHA, mentions he always thinks of going home and his last re-signing was majorly due to his relationship with Neil Craig.

I'm not sure Adelaide would be too happy with that Essendon deal. They'd want more I'd say.

The crows would expect Jobe watson for dangefield ;). they would be better of trying to trade with carlton and trying to land a player like Ellard. With Essendon you would think they would be looking at players like Howlet I guess. They need hard in and under type players.

Could always try and work a 3 way trade with someone to get on of the GWS's early picks, worth a chance I reckon.

Well there is talk Walker is going, Vince may well be gone and if Dangefield goes, well theres a few holes starting to emerge to go with the rest of the craters.

What club would best suit Dangerfield? Personally, I would see him a good fit at North Melbourne...

God help the Crows if they lost Dangerfield, Vince and Walker at the end of the year.
