North's Guernsey for Darwin

All discussions to do with the SANFL

Oh and another thing for you rooster supporters going up there, do yourself a favour and go to the Wharf one night, you'll get a feed of barramundi, prawns, chips and salad for $11. Cutlery and crockery are plastic but you don't eat those so who gives a **** at that price.

They also serve Coopers and West End at the Wharf too.

Don't ask me where you can "cut a stray from the heard" as her indoors had me on a tight leash up there......

However Russell "trout" Temple who used to run Lennies and the Crown in Victor Harbour runs the Discovery Nightclub in Darwin, so I don't know your form at those two establishments but if you couldn't pull one at those joints in the 90s you were probably gay......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dogs had all their kids playing, good players like Grant were left at home or only played 15 mins. NT had a few 1-2 AFL players they probably won't play this time as their clubs won't release them to play a SANFL team. The problems up there largely refer to attitutude they will think that they will win because they are not playing an AFL side, same train of thought as they had against Norwood.

AS I said previously......

As Mrs Wedgie (and Mrs Ian and a few other missus) are going I don't think that will be an issue.

Good article in the Advertiser today about the trip, players such as Heath Culpitt, Cameron Ilett, Jared Illet, Shannon Rusca, Scott Chisolm and Darryl White will be playing for the NTFL.

Interesting to note that despite someone on footysa saying Simon Cox is currently not training or lining up for North because he's injured that he's actually playing in the NTFL at the moment. Gutsy effort for someone who's apparantly injured! lol

Here's a pic in the paper today of the new recruits in the Darwin guernsey:

Andrew Jarman, Darren Jarman, Brett O'Hara, Kingsley Walker, Owen Weatherley, Shane Schubert, Clinton Alleway, Dean Howards and Steven Koops.

The paper has the order of theplayers wrong in the photo. Looking at the photo and only counting players from the left- Alleway is the 2nd player from the left & Walker is the 5th player from the left. The slope of the grandstand terrace does not do justice to their heights.
The other names are in correct order.

There'd be no mistakes if they put a picture of Glenelg's recruit in the paper...

Do we really need to have "fishing" on this site, can't we leave it behind at footysa?
