roy laird.........!
i think laird would be a great asett to the crows.
and i know he has been approached by the crows a couple of times to get on board but has said no.
a certain player who returned from an afl club said laird's training & structures is high up there at AFL level.
i mean he's gotta go sometime surely and maybe the planets are aligning for lairdy to take the helm at crowland.

Some of you blokes are on some serious sh!t, its taking away your sense of reality...FFS

Im with Gingernuts 100% - im starting to think that Craig's message isnt getting through, but who do we replace him with...definately not the blokes suggested on here. We arent Richmond !

The season is gone, lets see how some of these young blokes develop over the next few weeks and take stock at the end of the year. Craigy is a very good coach and has never been ego-driven - when its time to go, he'll go.

What make you think they would come? I'm sure they have gone for big names in the past, very tough to secure them though.

Malthouse went 16 years between premierships.

edit: his coaching at West Coast in the last half of the 90s was similar to what Craig has been doing except they didn't drop out of the finals. A consistent 5th to 7th for 6 seasons.

Roos is the man. Throw a bucket of money at him. I rekon he would enjoy the challenge of getting an underperforming team, with a glimour of talent in it, to a finals contender.

Did it with Sydeny with what many thought was an average to good team, with a very defensive and boring gamestyle. Plus i like the bloke, thats a start for many supporters!!

One thing about Roos is his game style goes against what most fans say they want to see. Most people say they want to see an attacking, high risk for high reward game style that draws fans to the games. Not sure Roos will bring that, also not sure his game style will hold up against what we are seeing from the top teams at the moment. Just my opinion could be wrong.

Difference is I'd expect someone like Roos to develop a gameplan that will work with the talent and experience of the players at his disposal, unlike the current coach.
