Saturday June 11 – Claremont v Northern Bullants at Metricon Stadium, 4.05pm local time.

Saturday June 18 – Port Adelaide v winner of North Adelaide / Labrador at Adelaide Oval, 4.35pm local time.

Huh ? Different time zone at Richmond ?

....or,curtain raiser at AAMI (4:45) and if not an earlier start (3:05) at Richmond?

Stand alone game. One port plays on sunday with Magpies vs Sturt. Then the Puffs vs the blues

They'd have to be favourites to win comfortably wouldn't they, with about a dozen AFL listed players? At the moment they've got guys like Brian Lake and Mitch Hahn running around for them.

West v Williamstown is a stand-alone game. Port Power play Carlton on Sunday June 5 with Port Magpies playing Sturt as the curtain raiser.

If the weather is forecast to be poor for that weekend the game will be moved to City Mazda Stadium is what I've heard.

June 11 – Claremont v Northern Bullants at Metricon Stadium, 4.05pm local time

What is going on here???? A WA team vs a Victorian team and played on the Gold Coast.

Is this to ensure that Claremont don't win the cup. They have already been to TAS now QLD fair trips for a side that is not in the big league How about a home game. The Bullants played a home game so it should be Claremont's this time.

Thought this was about the clubs not the AFL.

The match is played before the GC v Nth game while at the same time Geelong v Haw game at the G. Can't see the sense in sending two sides to the Gold Coast other than the fact that the GC & Nth game is on Foxtel and the Cats v Hawks Ch10
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

It is about the clubs. Well, GWS and NT Thunder, anyways. The rest are just there to make up the numbers.

I just hope Claremont smash them all and take the cup back to WA and shove it up the AFL!!!!! :butthead: :butthead: :butthead:

I believe if I'm correct Claremont has had more players drafted to the AFL since the draft began than anyone else.

That's now zero from two for SANFL clubs the week after their Foxtel Cup match. Coincedence? Probably. Playing not even three quarters of a match against what seems to be easy opposition shouldn't be taxing, nor mentally stimulating enough to leave a side on a downer the following week. I'd like to see how the rest of the matches pan out that West, Port and North play the week after their meetings before making any conclusion that it leaves a hampering effect.

Well dont put too much intense thinking into that situation as it just happens that North play Centrals at Dog Park next week so this weeks Foxtel Cup game will have no bearing whatsoever on that result ;) ;)

Hate to burst your bubble because I love how you know most stats but West beat Sturt the week after they played their Foxtel Cup off a 5 day break.

Ah yes, well that's where the problem lies - I didn't get the stats from anywhere. It was from memory. This year, last week could be the week before for all I know. So, feel free to print out a copy of the above post if it gets your jollies.
