Looks like " The Wizz " will be missing the first 6 rounds , there is no way the AFL tribunal will over throw the 4 matches he has already copped for eye-gouging .

Might be time for Paul Medhurst to step up and take that small forward position in the Freo forward line .

If only he wasn't playing for Collingwood....

:D

I regard eye gouging as very serious and if found guilty he's getting off light with 6 matches. The damage caused by eye gouging could end a player's career and must be stamped out.

Medhurst? Funny stuff.

The Johnson report was crap however, at least the SANFL hasn't sanitised the game so much.

From what I hear, the evidence to suggest Farmer was guilty was undeniable. Farmer had virtually no chance of getting less than 6 games, and yet Fremantle elected to take it to the Tribunal. I have also heard that several people within the Fremantle inner sanctum are fed up with Farmer's undisicplined acts, so maybe they thought he should have received more than 4 match as well.

Try getting around with one eye covered for a day and you'll realise which is the worst act.

Mate I rode my bicycle from Woodville North to Mile End with one eye covered after I got some metal in my eye at work (That's how non union workshops looked after their employees in the late 80's). Must have been a funny sight but I sure as shit couldn't see anything! Luckily all of the drunks were still in bed and I made it home in one piece.

regards,

Farmer deserves every week of that suspension.

This is the 14th (?) time that he has faced the tribunal.

His stupid act now could cost big time, especially if they now get off to a slow start this year.

Robert Shaws defence is that Farmer is not an enforcer !!!

You are correct Mr Shaw because he is a sniper !!!

The board must have thought Shaw's defence was lame, because it's just been annouced that the Dockers have decided not to appeal the bans for both Farmer and Michael Johnson.

I'm still laughing at the comment from the Dockers' spokeman (I think it was Stephen Icke) who said Fremantle expected to get Farmer off.
