It's not even holding the ball actually, under the rules of the game, it is now classed as incorrect disposal

Your right Quichey. Pafc1870 people yell out dropping the ball as a free as it's an easier term to yell out for incorrect disposal. You are not allowed to just drop the ball in a tackle

Thats right, incorrect disposal being the reason the umpire would blow the whistle and pay holding the ball.

Shouldnt be paying "holding the ball" in that instance, it is classed totally different and under the laws of the game it is incorrect disposal, two totally different things
