Whoops, I accidentally started a 2007 prediction thread not realising this was here so I've copied and pasted from there whilst deleting the one I created:

Wedgie wrote:1 North
2 Eagles
3 Port
4 Central
5 South
6 Glenelg
7 West
8 Norwood
9 Sturt

(First time I've predicted North to be top since 1991!)

Summary
North: recruited extremely well, have the opposite problem to last few years when forward may be an issue but Motlop will kick a few, have invested more money into injury management and Jarman learns and improves each year as a coach.
Eagles: always around the mark
Port: team's been pretty settled for a little while now, Hargs will be a bonus
Central: still could finish top, recruited well and will still do well in finals with their hardness
South: big loss in Davey, stayed fairly settled and got rid of unsettling influence in Cupido
Glenelg: settled side, I think Gibbs will be one of the biggest outs of any team, might slip below West but will still perform well at the Bay Oval
West: recruited well, whole club is on the way up, wouldn't suprise if they were higher
Norwood: may even be 9th depending on what Macgowan can conjure up at Sturt
Sturt: ordinary recruiting, will only come back as a force when the $$$ starts coming in for some recruits.

Footnote: Im usually hopeless at predictions.

My uninformed opinion goes as follows:
End of the minor round:

1 Eagles
2 North
3 South
4 Central
5 Glenelg

6 Port
7 Sturt
8 West
9 Norwood

Summary: My gut feels the above is correct.

North (dominate most of the season but fall way when it counts)
Centrals (will be there abouts and will find an extra gear at finals time)
Eagles (lost more than they gained. look satisfied with what they did last year)
Port (lots of hot air just like their AFL cousins)
Glenelg (just missed out last year. might just get there this year)
South (just got there last year. might just miss out)
West (improving but a long way to go)
Norwood (ordinary!!!!)
Sturt (worse!!!!)

As I said mate, its always amused me the way some people have said Roosters fans have blown their trumpets when if anything we've been conservative in our estimations in recent years.
The feeling in the club is anything short of a GF berth is a failure but IMHO there is absolutely no use in making it unless you win it.
Last, 6th, 7th, 4th, 2nd.
No different in my book.
I don't rate the Eagles for being close to the mark in those many years but I do rate them for winning the big one last year. Big time, just like Ive rated Central big time for most of this century.
Some people at my club this year might be satisfied with a GF berth, I wont.

Having said that, as mentioned before, there's still a question mark over our attack IMHO.
Would have been no question mark if we'd held onto Hargs.

I'll state it here and now as Im not one to make bullshit comments because of any bias and I'll be the first admit to when a "choke" occurs.
If North don't win the premiership in 2007 its a choke, I have high expectations.

I hope people don't mistakingly think that having high expectations is being cocky, but it wouldn't suprise me as in recent years even conservatism has been mistaken for cockiness somehow, stuffed if I know how.

North
Centrals
Eagles
Glenelg
Port

South
West
Norwood
Sturt.

North will not slip up in the finals. They are the complete side, with some good recruits and if they can aviod an end of season injury jam they have the skill, fast running play and a tougher underbelly that will see them through. IMHO
