You have missed the point of the thread topic. No one rates Hawkins.

Edited also, can win a Brownlow or 2! ;-)

Another couple for me are Matthew Robran and Andrew Walker. Both with bad attitudes, never work hard enough and s*#t me to tears!

Walker is a born-again footballer as a forward.

not really over rated ...... but geeeee Jack Watts certainly is showing he may not make the grade. Always big risk on the big boys dominating in school footy or underage ranks . I know they can take time but he is looking like Jimmy Sellar all over again to me

Yeah there would have to be some concerns .. Even Hawkins showed more in his first coupla years than Jack has, hopefully he's just a slower developer and turns into a really good player.

Bad call. Your opinion but bad call. Sensational player that once again influenced tonight's game. Most over rated player is hawkins. Never done anything plus won't live up to the hype

I'm sorry but, umpires love child. More protected than the panda. Will probably win another Bronlow at this rate.

No one rates Hawkins anyway, so he can't be most over rated. Judd is definitely over rated, but at the same time he is a great player.

So he's a great player but overated? Well done.

T. Walker (Crows), K.Tippett (Crows), Harbrow (Suns) thats a good start from me, probably those have already been mentioned.

Agreed, dominated underage footy but hasn't really shown that much for the Demons, yet. I honestly expected more from him considering he's a number one draft pick. He does have time on his side but how much more time does he need?

A few people have said Kirt Tippet and I agree. I like him as a footballer but he's falls down a bit with his consistancy and basic skills. The big thing for me with him though is his pay packet, has anyone seen how much he gets? I remember seeing it in the paper(?) and even though I can't remember the exact figure, I was very surprised with what he gets and thought he was overpriced considering his output.

Really don't understand why Chris Judd keeps popping up in these lists. I reckon most fans would love to have him in their side. The way he breaks the lines, shakes a tag and accelerates away is something I love watching in full flight. The player I enjoy watching the most in football, along with Robbie Gray (when fit) - both pure footballers with a heck of a lot of talent.

I don't believe Judd is over-rated his burst running/ acceleration away from a contest is probably the best we've ever seen but Robbie Gray IMO, is so over-rated it's not even funny.

Have to agree .. I've been a big wrap for Tippett because honestly I think the lad could be absolutely anything, but every year that passes without him moving up to another level (or even declining) is a worry and I think at the moment he's a worthy fit for this topic.

I don't understand why so many struggle to comprehend the concept of these 'overrated' type threads that pop up every now and then. There is no doubt that Chris Judd is a good player. But the way he is universally pumped up by the media is truly cringeworthy. As you said ck Judd can break the lines, Judd can run...but the bloke kicks like Simon Tregenza and tackles like a Turnstile. We had Turbs come in to this thread and say how influentual Judd was against the Crows but compare that to how Gary Ablett played against Port and tell me who the better player is. Now apparently this bloke is the best in the comp if you listen to some pundits.

The umpires deemed him worthy of two Brownlows, the commentators crack a chubby because he can kick a 20m goal. This is the very definition of overrated. This is why in any overrated thread Chris Judd is a prominent name.

If he is deemed by some pundits to be in the top 5 of the competition, does that still make him overrated?

The bloke was a champion at the Eagles but not in Blues colours IMO. If he is rated the best in the league then he has to be the best in the league to justify that tag or he must be considered overrated. Ablett has him covered. Stop judging Judd on his 2006 standards. He is still a good player but I reckon Murphy is playing better than Judd at the moment.

In my opinion it does. As I said in my previous post many people are still viewing Judd as the machine he was five years ago. Right now I would rather have Jobe Watson, Gary Ablett, Jimmy Bartel, Dane Swan and Scott Pendlebury in my midfield before I would select Judd. The guy can't kick or tackle and is massively overrated.
