Do you mean a side that fed him and saved him having to compete for it himself? ;)
That would have to be a really dominant side in front of which even Jericho would look good.
I really think Walker is talented, but he still doesn't work at it enough.

Use that to take the game on and feel as though he can beat anyone, at the moment he almost looks over awed when he comes up against a strong quality defender. He needs to use his strengths like his evasiveness and strong hands, and i do agree it was great to see him put a few more second efforts in than normal. Nothing compares to the bomb he launched in the last (although kicking with a gale) from the square, good to see him take the responsibility, i would say that 90% of the rest of the team wouldve tried to spot someone up.

I wasnt quite sold on his ability until that last quarter against Brisbane, the first goal he kicked from inside the square was a perfect way to fire a side up in a close game. He then took a mark near the boundary about 45 out and played onto his left and kicked it just as natural as his right. Big forwards who can kick the ball like that on both sides are gems, arrogance or not I would have him in my side each week.

And again Taylor proved what kind of player he is, didnt think much of his first effort but came to life in the rest of the game and how bloody good was that goal from outside 50 on the boundary, i just hope he keeps going with the confidence and grows even more with every week

He does seem to be catching on at last to the need to not just stand there waiting to be fed the ball.
I think he will be a very good player now that he is starting to work at it.

*bump*

So how do people feel about the article in the paper today?

FFS I hate this speculation about players going to new clubs.

Personally for Walker I reckon it will depend on how his year plays out. If he ends up getting dropped again at some stage this year then I reckon he'll be on his bike to GWS.

If however he has a successful year in which the team does well and he kicks a decent amount of goals and cements his place in the side, then I think he will stay.

Biglands has said he has already agreed to terms with GWS - I hope that isnt the case and he is waiting until the end of the year.

All the talk is that he is mates with everyone at the club, team clown (practical joker), colt hero with the fans and was a crows supporter growing up. But money can talk...extra 200k a year to sit at the bottom of the ladder for 3 years could play a big factor!

I would like to know who Biglands Source is? Or is he only saying this to pump up his radio career?

I would say he is as good as gone. But I don't blame him, and I'll cheer him til the end.

If he does come out mid season and say he is going, i cant see many supporters cheering him thats for sure. Correct me if im wrong but we picked Taylor up as a 16 year old as a NSW Scholarship player, so we will be seeing 5 years of development and money down the drain, not a great way to repay the club that gave you your first shot! Cant see many people agreeing with you OnSong.

I think the thing we have seen with loosing Bock is that the Squad has shown it can cover each and every possie. Davis has stepped up and now we see S mac putting pressure on 'the big ticket' and Tex. In a perfect world we want to keep him, but what will happen is out of AFC's hands atm. Tex has to want to stay as him leaving would be purely $$ based, womething AFC cant compete with.

I think people speculating because he's from NSW is a pretty long bow too - Broken Hill is only in NSW by location, culturally it's very SA based.

I'd say there's an offer on the table that he's strongly considering. However I'd say it's also far from a done deal. If Adelaide makes the finals this year and do well, I think potential for success could outway the $$$, similar to Tippett's decision not to go to the GC.

As long as GC keep getting flogged I think we have a better chance of keeping him. Either way, it's a good test for Tex to see how he handles all the hyperbole surrounding his playing future.

He's talented, but so amazingly soft.

How was that effort on the wing against Trengove? Geez.
