I am sat in the back of a taxi in a small town 2 hours outside Nanjing. The front passenger seat head rest has one of those video screens that have adverts on a wrap. An they are advertising the Champoins League.

Everywhere I have travelled, Soccer has been the one topic in which you can talk to just about anyone about.

One of my favourite "global" memories, was when Vietnam beat Thailand in a game, and we were at the time in Ho Chi Minh City, sitting on the balcony overlooking the iconic Rex Hotel, and the locals were going apeshit.

Bloody good fun. We went down to the streets and they were in party mode for sure.....
