29,092 members for season 2010 is what i have. Unless maths has changed significantly from when i went to school thats an increase my friend.

PAFC membership for 2010 = 31400

according to the clubs wiki page.

But could be wrong. And if I am..........

an increase of 900 members now that is something to celebrate!!!!

Lets start a "Power re-unification exceeds all expectations" thread.

I cant see how any team can justify having 50% of its team or 25% of its squad as leaders? Setting itself up for failure IMO

 Who is celebrating! The club set a goal in the 2010 AGM to reach 35,000 members for 2011 and so far we havent achieved that. The achievement of 30,000 is up on last year and call me pathetic but an increase is an increase.

Seems a little over the top agreed. No need for more than 4 or 5 IMO.

As the commentators kept remarking you couldnt question Ports effort or committment today. Can certainly question some of their decision making & footskills tho. Reckon C'wood were gifted 5-6 goals from poor kicks out of defence under little pressure and also a couple of brain fades that resulted in 50's right in front of goal. Hopefully Trengove learns alot from that game, Irons showed alot of class on a few occasions and since Tredders retired Westhoff has continued to add a level of consistency. If shulz is a LTI then that will really hurt our structure.

was chatting to a mate who supports the power after sunday's game, and we got to talking about K.Cornes.
I made the point to him about Cornes' first thought (with or without pressure) is to go to his knees. Not sure if I am the only one who notices this but, I think he would be so much more destructive if he tried to pick the ball up on his feet, instead of having to get up off his knees and then try to use the ball (with possible pressure now).
Thoughts?

Players are doing this more and more. Dive in on the knees, try and get pulled over the ball ( get a free for hanging on ) and if not tunnel ball it out the back so no holding the ball against. Ugly look, loads of blokes doing it.

Really?!? I have seen it when blokes are under pressure but, what do you gain from doing it with no pressure?

During the Gold Coast game on Saturday, Blighty was talking about keeping your feet because Charlie Dixon kept falling over. Slightly different to playing for the free, but it pays to stay off your knees. Ablett, Judd and Pendlebury are prime examples of core strength.
