People have been overrating the Dogs for decades

Libratore
Wynd
Grant
West
Johnson
Griffen

and now Higgins who can't even stay on the park.

There's a reason why this mob don't flags.

A bit tough on a few of them mate. Wynd, Grant and West were the Bulldogs for a while there. Cant do it with only 3 of them. Those I mentioned I rate, the side they played in and the players around them, I dont.

Wynd. Couldn't kick.
West. See above. Horribly overrated.
Grant. Went missing yet another overrated Bulldog.

Put on Red White and Blue and good players become champions and hacks become good players. Just a series of consolation prizes for a 5hit club that can't ever win the flag and that goes for this year as well.

I'm thinking you're being a bit harsh on these three. All over 300 games, One Brownlow ( Wynd ) one denied ( Grant ) and multiple AA's between them all.

300 at the Bulldogs means squat. Those idiots gave Johnson's Rohan Smith 300 games and he was a complete spud. The only Dog I rate is Douggie Hawkins. Shocking club mate shocking.

I know, put a scrubber in a Bulldogs guernsey and he becomes a champion. ;)

Not so much who is in the Top 50 as who isn't, for mine.

Is Boak really that good?
Admittedly I haven't seen a great deal of him, but didn't overly impress me.
One of my mates raves on about him all the time.

IMO best player on ports list. He, cassisi, gray and hartlett (if the latter 2 could play a full season) are the only players i would consider for a top50 at port.

He is a gun. I expect him to be our stand out performer this season and his 16 Brownlow votes last year was not a fluke. The kind of player umpires and opposition coaches notice.

Hartlett? For top 50? Maybe top 50 rookies. Pity about Gray's injuries, I do rate him.
I'm looking at the Crows poster from the Tiser today, not many I would rate top 50, maybe Johncock would get a gig if he was playing for a Vic club.

 Serious? IF he is fully fit he and boak are ports 2 best players. There is hartlett, rodan and daylight in terms of skill on the powers list but just cant get the kid on the park.

If port get a few full seasons out of hartlett he will begin to show his endless talent.

I know there is "ifs" everywhere in this post but injury free this kid can seriously play.

Dead serious. There would be at least 10 rookies I would put ahead of him in terms of talent and class. Not a bad player but hardly what I would consider elite. Agree, Boak is an excellent player,

I can see merit there onsong. Consider this though. If hartlett had the luck with injuries that many draftees that are now starting to make an impact at afl level have had, i have no doubt he would be held in high regard amongst all fans.

Im not saying he is top 50 now as nobody has even seen him....but give him some injury free seasons he will prove why he was a top 5 selection.

Given Morris gets a run, I wonder if Sheehan's player list from the 90s would have included Danny Southern.
