There loses where a lot bigger a few months ago until players changed there mind and came back from Eastern Park / Gummeracha. The other two team's that made finals should be up there again - Plympton / Rosewater and I would think the other 7 clubs will battle in out for the other 2 finals position's.
I doubt it. Lost the 2nd best ruckman in division last year and their nearly 100 goal full forward. Im gonna go out on a limb here and predict Brahma Lodge to finish....... 3rd
have to agree with you there duncs loosing the second best ruckman in div 5 from last year cause matty eagles (nth haven ) was easily the best

And on the training front, we had 52! at training tonight, outstanding numbers.
Welcome back DK, good to see you guys didnt pass up the offer of coming back into the division.
52 on the track is outrageous... sounds like some good signs for you guys this season, goodluck and see you out on the field
Thanks Cossi, it going to be good seeing all you blokes on here such as yourself, Valleys and Love to Talk Footy out on the field again.
Yeah it is outrageous, we've been averaging about 35 guys a night all preseason and to see that many blokes there last night was outstanding, I've hardly ever seen 50+ on the track before. Hopefully we can keep the numbers up and maybe we might get more coming out towards the start of the season as eveyone looks for a spot in one of the grades.

Last night we had over 60 and the 18's were training at a different ground. If we knew the reason as to why there is such a big difference between 2010 and 2011, we'd bottle it and sell it to all the other clubs Make a fortune!
With numbers like that SD it seems like your boys are really enjoying their pre-season and are very keen and looking forward to the start of the season. Good on them, the more numbers the better it is for the club. We've had some great numbers over the pre-season, everyone's been really keen to get into it and we're starting to head in the right direction because of it.
ALL THE HARD RUNNING DONE!!! i THOUGHT HAVEN HAD BEEN DOING THE HARD YARDS SINCE MID NOVEMBER, BUT THERE SESSION ON TUESDAY WAS AS SOLID AS IVE SEEN SO FAR. VERY VERY HAPPY ONLY TO HAVE WATCHED IT. AND ALL 52 WERE DOING IT! WAS ACTUALLY GREAT TO SEE

Could have something to do with being allowed to actually train on our own ground
Or the fact that all the hard running is done and we are a month from round 1.....usually start to see 5-10 blokes roll out 1-2 weeks before (and somehow most are fitter that half the squad that has done pre-season )

There is a difference mate between 2.2km time trials and full length oval drills with the footy. The time trials and snake pit is what im glad to be rid off and what i was referring to as "hard running".
The boys now have a fitness base and on tuesday night we were put through a series of hard drills with balls in hand and i loved it. Much better than crunching gravel or sand and im glad that time trials are here.

I think thats what he means Valleys! Ive got a copy of the Haven program and they 2km time trials set every three weeks till end of season and still a snake session with Adrian Settre from the Port Magpies still to come. If anything the lads at haven will be fairly fit!!

2.2 time trials through the season! nah id rather have the footys then. Hope valley are headed down to goolwa for a pre-season camp which i believe is our last scheduled session where fitness is the priority. After that our sessions will be predominately game related exercises with some running built through full oval drills.
During the year id expect us to have fitness blocks of 4-5 weeks but most of our training during the season is game related.
In saying that though if it works for havens then go for it

the north haven captain is very confident about this year and tells me the old cash haven is back again!! says anything less than a grand final appearance is an under achievment for the club
