Re: OVER 35's FOOTY LEAGUE
We have a team, it's pretty relaxed, soft in fact but good for a kick and a catch (sometimes). It has some modified rules to reduce the chance of injury, some teams with blokes that still play on Saturdays play a bit harder than others, particularly those with more blokes closer to 50 than 35.
Games are roughly every two weeks so you get a chance to recover.

Re: OVER 35's FOOTY LEAGUE
A mate of mine plays and loves it. He's been trying to get me to play. Dunno whether my back will hold up to the rigours.
The ground just seems to get further away each year.

I will be making my Over 35's debut this year, and im really looking forward to it. The idea of 2 weeks between games is a very attractive prospect, i will definately need that time to recover !

There is a South team based in Reynella I think.
Off the top of my head, the teams are:
Rosewater
Portland
South
East
Gawler
Mid North (Clare)
River Murray (Murray Bridge)
Riverland (Berri)
Hills (Lobethal)
PHOS/Camden
Blackwood
Pooraka
SHOC
Fitzroy
I may have missed one but the website is under re-construction

Re: OVER 35's FOOTY LEAGUE
Having watched quite a few of the Old Fart games at Rosewater, and now that I qualify
I've been thinking about having a kick this year.
Then my groin and knees remind me that I should stay well away....

Give it a rest Tubbs, the only over 35 thing you can handle nowadays is Super Dry stubbies per day.
If you play, there will be a huge crowd watching the first game let me tell ya. Moe & MadRooster would rally the troups to watch you last the first 10 minutes before succumbing to injury to some muscle never heard of.
Nowhere near enough smilies for this idea.
