I can remember in the early 80's my family getting their first VCR, was around around '82. I thought it was the greatest piece of technology ever. Even had a remote control with a cord going from the remote to the video, lol.

Dad got our first VCR in about 1985. A bfew days later my sister left the remote control sitting on top of the gas heater in the lounge room. I hadn't seen Dad to upset since the final siren of the '78 GF.
