As for the best players that i rate (for wat it's worth) - with the most influence and not just the most talented

Marble Range - Darren Rule, David McPharlin
Mallee Park - Robert Jackamarra, Richard Jones
Bostons - Richard Saunders, Ray Watherston
Tasmans - Mick O'Neill, Butch Pedler, Sam Englehardt
Lincoln South - Harry Miller, Micheal Miller

Didnt see Guy Bagshaw's name mentioned anywhere (re best players).

Saw a few older players listed, such as Greg Phillips. I've heard stories about the Davey brothers who played a bit of footy in Lincoln, although mainly in Darwin i think. Referring to Gunny who i think was the father of the Davey brothers playing today (at Melbourne and South Adelaide). I think that Gunny died in a car accident up in the NT few years ago, believe he was a great player.

No-one has mentioned Brett Chalmers either, played for Darke Peak/Waddikee, before joining SANFL, Crows and Power and then obviously coaching Souths for the last couple of years, and what about the Wakelin brothers (Shane (Collingwood) and Darryl (Power)), they're from EP too.Speaking of brothers don't forget the Burgoynes (Peter & Shaun). Before anyone asks, Yes i am a Power fan, also follow the Pies in the SANFL.

Settle ep boy was only joking. Phone call from Ceduna last night confirmed that Hayden will play for Marble Range next season (already signed) Very handy pick up and likes a drink as well. Heard a wisper of a couple of signings for us but will notify when confirmed - nothing to stop the press though. Darren Rule the best I've seen at MR WCP. I would pick him in his prime before Macca.

so the stack of "signings" at MRFC has increased........so they can add Hayden to the pile that allegedly reads......G Pedler, M Leslie, J Harvey and M Parker.....................give me a break! - alleged signings may b one thing, actually playing or caoching is another. Middle January is the WORST time to be sprouting new recruits, considering the FREE clearence time is still alive!........havent a few clubs had their collective fingers burnt during this time!
